The service was slow, but friendly enough - although I hate to say, not very efficient or clearly spoken. The menu was really challenging and limited. The restaurant was very quiet but on a good day it would be lovely to sit outside on the veranda. The shining light was the Lamb Saddle main, which I had, which was superb!!! Really different but really very good. All in all, fair.

Skylon
lunch at skylon, familly birthday, had to push a bit for service allthough it was fairly busy,the food was good value with the toptable offer. pasta a little undercooked but the tastes were powerful and complimentary every one loved their duck confit
and the puddings were sublinme rasberry peach and melon tirimisu, nice to see they have tap water and the head waiter assured me the staff do get the 15% so good for D&D, overall
an enjoyable experience

Dans Le Noir?
The concept is absolutely brilliant but they can do much better than it is right now. the food is not spectacular, not the tatse sensation you would expect from a dinner in the completedark. Very noisy, you have to share a table with other people, which is not relaxed at all.

Ruby Blue
My first time at Ruby Blue. The 50% off deal made it very good value for money. Main courses were good but the profiterole desert was a big disappointment - actually it wasn't very nice! Would only go there again with the 50% deal - otherwise it's a bit on the expensive side for the quality of the food.

Benares
Initially on entering Benares and sitting down I was impressed with the ambience of the restaurant , however it did take a while to even order an aperitif , the menu not arriving for a good ten minutes, the service to begin with was informative and unobtrusive , however towards the end of the night service petered out to the bare minimum taking a good 15 minutes to attract someone for the bill.
Tho the food was good nothing really stood out and there were too many strong flavours, pretty average

Ruby Grand
Been to Ruby Grand several times and have always foud the food and service well above average. On the most rcent occasion it was very quiet inthe restaurant so not great for ambience but it was a monday night! We had a terrific bottle of Malbec v reasonably priced too. A well balanced menu and genrous portions. Highly reccomended

Quality Chop House
friendly service and plenty of good meaty fare. Really good place to take our friend who has been living in the states for 8 years for a taste of old England. Will definitely go back.

Worth it just for the views. It is expensive, but if you can get in on an offer - we did 50% off the food - its not too bad!
Service and food was great - leave room (after the three courses!) for all the little extras, chocolates, flavoured home-made marshmallows, and cakes!

Galvin at Windows was great fun. The food was fun and delicious (although as someone else mentioned, very salty - the lamb came with big chunks of sea salt on, which would be fine, but it also had a v salty gravy, so it was a bit much). Serivce v good, but my plate was removed while I was chewing, again, possibly a bit much. Dessert wine sommelier, also a bit much. But, it was really delicious, and q exciting. Worth trying on the 50% off, then it's good value, but never cheap!

Baltic - a good spot for a drink in the bar as well as a meal. House wine reasonable and good. Interesting menu with good Eastern European dishes. Restaurant is large so not the place for an intimate dinner.

Probably has to rate as the best meal out I've ever had. The food was absolutely spectacular, the view was amazing, and the staff attentive. I had the lamb as a main which was superb, but the highlight had to be the pear tarte tartin. As others have mentioned it's huge, but it's so good it's impossible to leave any! It's worth noting that it's eye-wateringly expensive, even with the toptable offer, but definitely worth it.

The North Star
Had a fabulous meal at The North Star, Islington. We all had rib-eye steak for our mains and it was cooked to perfection and very tender, one of the best steaks i've had in London, would highly recommend it. The starters were good also, good sized portions, and none of us had room for dessert!! The staff were vey efficient and friendly. I thought it lacked a bit of atmosphere as there was no music and it was not all that busy, although it was getting busier when the night went on.

Big Easy
Went to Big Easy for the 1st time with friends and had really good time! Restaurant was very busy and live music was good too.
Food and the service was really good.

Bengal Tiger Restaurant
Bengal Tiger is the best Indian Food I have ever eaten. The staff are also very friendly and helpful, particular in recommending dishes that are not too spicy.

Borough Bar
The Borough Bar gets credit for being close to London Bridge rail station, that's probably about it. The food is acceptable, but not outstanding, and the evening we ate there, there was one waiter and one bartender for the entire restaurant! If you just want to stop in somewhere close for simple food, the Borough Bar is fine, but find somewhere else for an event or special meal.

Waterloo Brasserie
Although a little quiet due to summer hols and Old Vic being closed, we had a really enjoyable meal. Great venue. Loved the decor. Good service. Had the 2 courses for £25 which had a good choice of items and food was really good.
