Description of Bengal Tiger Restaurant
Both the Bengal Tiger bar and dining room, are equally sleek, spotlit, and decorated with tiger-themed modern art. Sure, modern Indian restaurants are two a rupee in the City, but none of them serve this selection of chef's specials. The sikandari raan is magnificent version of slow-cooked spiced lamb shank. Chicken jaipuri in a medium tamarind sauce, and a tandoori-cooked duck akberi masala are equally memorable to the taste.

The food at the Bengal Tiger was, as always, superb. Not a great atmosphere for lunch and the service was a little slow considering how quiet it was but the food was delicious and kept everyone very happy!

Bengal Tiger (City) had a great lunch menu on offer - 2 courses for £10. The downside is we paid £4 for a bottle of mineral water and service was included even though there was nothing particularly great about the service to have to pay the 12.5%. On the other hand, all the starters we had (6 of us had something different and shared) were fabulous and i would recommend the chicken biriyani as a main!

Great service and good food - a pretty decent dining experience in general

The food was very nice and the portion sizes were substantial. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a tasty curry without the haste and ambience of brick lane, but willing to pay a little more to compensate. I, and the group of 8 I was with, enjoyed eating here.

Food was ok at the Bengal Tiger, but not amazing. I've eaten better curries at cheaper restaurants.

Bengal Tiger is a nice indian restaurant in the heart of the city. It offers reasonably priced, good food in buzzy surroundings.

The food at the Bengal Tiger was lovely. I couldn't fault it. The only problem was that the staff were overly attentive, not giving you very long to decide upon your order and slightly rushing you. However, don't let this put you off, it is worth it for the food.

The Begnal Tiger's express lunch menu (Mon to Wed) was good value at £6.95 for one course of £9.95 for two. My colleagues enjoyed the starters esp the shish keebab, the mains were mostly good though lamb pasanda was too sweet.. Service good.

6 of us dined at lunchtime on a Thursday - for a city restuarant, it was unexpectedly quiet - about 5 of the 15 tables were occupied. The food was delicious, and they could accommodate 3 vegetarians in the group easily. However the service suffered as place got quieter and our waiter forgot one persons dessert, and we had to ask twice for the bill. The toilets were clear, spacious, but the toilet roll holders were not refilled, so there were lots of half-used rolls lying around which spoilt it.

Good Food

Bengal Tiger is the best Indian Food I have ever eaten. The staff are also very friendly and helpful, particular in recommending dishes that are not too spicy.
