Description of Brompton Quarter Cafe
The Brompton Quarter at the south end of Brompton Road is fast-emerging as a specialist shopping neighbourhood. It's the kind of place that epitomises the bespoke class of (old) wealthy London, and the eponymous Café is no exception. White Piet Boon chandeliers hang near a multi-coloured counter of cake heaven on the gourmet deli ground floor. It gets even posher in the Kenzo fabric decked downstairs. Here it's all about the a la carte Mediterranean dishes of organic carpaccio, foie gras, pasta, salads, chops and homemade burgers. Fantastic fillet steaks come with a gorgeous sauce of your choice. Delectable.

Across both gorgeous floors there are 120 covers, half of them downstairs in the fine dining space. The two beautiful eight seater banquettes are bookable. Group menus from £15 a head for canapés, rising to £50 pp from the a la carte menu. Lovely international wine list.

The food is amazing but they have a funny way of ordering salads - why can't you just have a salad as a main course instead of sharing dishes?
