Description of Canal 125
Canal 125 is a real find. Tucked away unassumingly on Caledonia Rd, it's an ambient haven set over three floors, including a restaurant, bar and two terraces (one with stylish river views). The look is edgy and seductive at the same time. Rough, dark wood floors and big leather sofas are jumbled with pretty chandeliers and huge antique mirrors. Chef Gary King hails from Christopher's, and his gorgeous Modern European menu is a delight. We loved the fabulously refreshing and moreish Smoked chicken 'bang bang' with cucumber and peanut chilli sauce, and the Salmon fishcakes (on baby spinach with a basil cream sauce) are worthy of obsession! This is, without doubt, some of the best value food in London. We're dying to go back and we're sure you will be too.

The atmosphere was quite good. No qualms about the staff. The food was pretty good especially the bang bang chicken starter. Good size portions. If you're after a friendly non stuffy environment this could be for you.

Service was a bit lack lustre - friendly enough but the waiter didn't understand one of our orders and brought out the wrong thing. They were good enough to replace it with another meal however.

Went to Canal 125 with a group of work colleagues on a Wednesday evening. It was busy enough to have a bit of a buzz. Service was quick and friendly. It's nice to be able to sit outside by the canal for some pre-dinner drinks! Food was good with a nice variety on the menu and reasonable prices for decent portions. No complaints from our group of 10.
