Description of Hanoi CafeLocated in one of London's hippest enclaves, Hanoi offers sizzling, fresh traditional Vietnamese food to a mixed crowd of local Hoxton hipsters. But the Hanoi Café is also just near enough to the City to attract an after work crowd. The décor is simple and bright it and lets the food speak for itself. The atmosphere is bustling and breezy.
Additional information for Hanoi Cafe
In the main restaurant up to 50 can be accommodated and they can choose anything from the menu with a minimum of one starter and one main course.
Second visit to Hanoi Cafe, but last time was for lunch for two. This time group of 7 on Sat night. Not full so booking wasn't necessary but you never know. Alcohol reasonable but limited wine selection. Mains not that large, next time would order more small starter dishes to share. Service not that proactive but friendly and responsive when flagged down. Overall 6/10, there are probably better places. Better for lunch I think.

Hanoi Cafe is unpretentious but has an extensive authentic Vietnamese menu. We had some really good dishes including the soft shell crab and green papaya salad. Very good value for money.

Been to the Hanoi Cafe a few times now. Like most of the Vietnamese cafe/restaurants in Kingsland Rd, there's never enough staff so you don't get great service, but it's cheap and the food is consistently good (unlike some of the others in the road that I've been to). There's also a lot of vegetarian options. So, good value for the money and worth returning to.

Lovely large bowls of Pho. Imperial rolls and crispy squid also excellent. Roll your own prawn summer rolls were not as good - prawns a bit on the small side and dry.
