Description of Hardy's Restaurant
With over 20 years as a home away from home for many customers, this tranquil neighbourhood gem is definitely one for the little black book. There are three areas to suit the mood: an intimate restaurant with white linen, an informal candlelit brasserie or private rooms, all offering a warm, comfortable Parisian-style decor. During nicer weather there are also romantic outside tables - perfect for canoodling over a glass of wine or two. Menus change every two weeks to reflect the seasons and offer the best of the best of modern British/European cuisine. Starters could include everything from a plate of Spanish delicacies to a warm smoked haddock, potato salad, poached egg and hollandaise. Old favourites sit aside new classics in the mains department, such as fish and chips with pea and mint puree and pheasant with spiced cabbage, potato rosti, chestnut and port sauce. Desserts are traditional classics and too good to pass up for just under a fiver. Try the raspberry crème brulee or the blackberry, vanilla and chocolate millefeuille princess tart. An eclectic wine list brings the meal together nicely, and with many great bottles for under £20, it's easy on the pocket. A perfect partner to Marylebone life, complete with friendly staff.

Have something larger in mind? The Brasserie can hold up to 120 of your nearest and dearest standing and 65 seated. Getting hitched? As Hardy's is within walking distance of Marylebone Registry Office, they're experts at throwing wedding receptions. Menus can range from simple champagne brunches, to a wide selection of canapes to more formal three-course dinners, and they're always happy to help you select the best menu to suit your needs. A great list of wines and champagnes should go a long way to help you pop the cork in style.

Hardy's Restaurant Reviews

Hardy's dealt brilliantly with our party of 10. The waiter struck the perfect balance of giving us privacy whilst always being attentive and friendly. Wherever one of our menu choices was unavailable they always provided a superior alternative for the same price; the food was lovely. The private room was made available for the entire evening and Dominique was really helpful, helping me to arrange everything in advance, meaning we could relax and enjoy our lovely meal and evening.

Great venue - ideal for catching up with friends for a good evening meal. Good choice on menu and very tasty. Toilets are very small but clean.

Great lunch at Hardy's. Predictably good food and wine and attentive staff. Slightly noisy for my liking, but plenty of space between tables.

Hardy's is always good value for very good food-my Taramasalata was great and my Mum -always difficult to please- really rated her pumpkin soup and fresh sardines. My Caesar salad was not as good as Joe Allen's -too much dressing- but the lemon flan was superb - highly reccommended

I use Hardy's a lot for business lunches but this time it wasn't so good. Very busy in the restaurant and the fish and chips had to be sent back as it was undercooked. The replacement fish and chips was excellent however. Will be going back as this was more a blip than a sign of actual deterioration!
