Modern, bright, and enormous fun, Hellenic is a Greek corner restaurant run by the lovely George, and his family. Accompanying the blue and white décor, are 1950s black and white photos. Get a real taste for George's wife's delicious homemade cooking, the speciality being Mezedes which, includes ten cold starters and ten hot main dishes - fantastic value at £14.50 per person. Naturally, a robust retsina or Ouzo are the recommended drinks or you can try specially selected wines from Greece. They will go down especially well on Friday and Saturday nights when a bouzouki, guitar and an accordion are played live, creating a wonderfully warm and buzzy atmosphere.

Greek restaurants are a group's dream. Hellenic was made for parties - parties of up to 90, to be precise - roughly 40 upstairs, the remainder downstairs (if exclusive hire), where there's a dancefloor. Hellenic welcomes parties from 2-90 for any occasion. Menu options are: Mezedes or a la carte. If the background or live music aren't enough, feel free to invite your own entertainment. Bar on both floors. Open seven days a week. Great atmosphere.
