Description of Hibiscus
Michelin-starred chef Claude Bosi opened his first Hibiscus restaurant eight years ago in Ludlow, and after numerous awards and accolades has decided to relocate his slice of haute cuisine heaven to Maddox Street in London. With its chi-chi décor and glamorous vibe, Hibiscus fits right into the glittering Mayfair restaurant scene, and is ideal for both the working lunch and ladies-who-latte set. The food is divine: we loved the savoury ice cream of foie gras with a warm emulsion of brioche and balsamic caramel; roast Mortimer Forest venison with smoked chocolate, savoy cabbage purée and confit of pear in red wine; and the stunning signature pudding - the Hibiscus tarte au chocolate with Indonesian basil ice cream. Please note, Hibiscus only takes bookings of 2 people for 12pm & 6:30pm through toptable.

Hibiscus is a great restaurant; the food is delicate and tasty, well presented. We had a 8 course menu, a very nice experience.
It will have been nice to know what we were going to eat before hand maybe they should print a menu or informed us, I had to ask them so I could choose the wine appropriate to our dishes.
The service is very professional friendly and not intrusive. But a few complain will be the length of time to come back to our table to take our drinks order at a point it was hard to get the staff attention, as well we were left alone in the restaurant at the end I had to try to get the attention of the hostess to be able to get the bill, less French speaking on the floor will have been appreciated.
We had a lovely table in the middle of the restaurant unfortunately to close to the waiter station where we could hear everything happening.

Hibiscus. Wonderful set menu meal and extensive wine list served by excellent staff. Couldn't fault any part of either the meal or the service.

Hibiscus's calm and relaxing dining room was the perfect setting for a very tasty and interesting three course lunch. The apple parfait crumble was so deliciously inspiring that it provided a new idea for our huge apple crop. Very friendly staff added to a most enjoyable meal.

We had a great meal in Hibiscus, the set lunch offers excellent value for money. The food was superbly cooked from start to finish. The amuse-bouche Hibiscus drink was one of the most interesting things I've tried all year. The mutton and foie gras starter also deserves special mention, it was delicious. Not the nicest looking restaurant IMO, functional rather than beautiful. Great service though a mark taken off for the waiter incorrectly describing me the food I'd been served!
