Description of Homage at The Waldorf Hilton
Homage at the Waldorf provides an elegant setting to eat, drink and socialise from breakfast right through to late evenings. It is designed to be relaxed, glamorous and with its unique position on the Aldwych, a little theatrical. Homage serves classical dishes, as well as some more contemporary favourites. The wine list is predominantly old world European and like the food it is both accessible and affordable. Located in the heart of London's West End close to many of London's main theatres, as well as being easily accessible to the City, Homage is well positioned to offer many different customers a diverse, all-day dining and drinking option. Homage incorporates the Grand Salon - a restaurant, the Patisserie and Bar, and is open from morning to late at night. The stunning 'jewel box' Homage Patisserie at the Waldorf Hilton features an exquisite range of cakes and pastries made fresh on site daily. Outside terrace is open for al fresco dining during spring and summer. Flexibility is the key, customers are able to pop in for coffee and pastries, a glass of wine and a salad, or enjoy a three-course meal.

Homage at The Waldorf Hilton Reviews

Homage at Waldorf Hilton. Typical of many hotel restaurants, it lacked atmosphere and ambience. Special price meal was good value but drinks expensive, increasing total cost significantly.

Catherina MacCabe reviewed Homage at The Waldorf Hilton on 29/12/2008

Food was very good, excellent steak cooked exactly as ordered. Very nice starters too. Service was a bit slow and not very attentive - a lot of staff around, but not a lot happening! The ambiance was disappointing, the restaurant is cold & uninviting but not in a trendy & minimalist way.

We had the xmas special meal and it was quite nice but not outstanding. however, they had made the room very festive and there was a nice atmosphere.

Homage at the Waldorf is not the place to go if you want a buzzy, warm ambience. However for a venue that's spacious and you want to be quiet enough to talk easily, the dining room is traditionally grand - like the hotel in which it is located. The food was excellent, particularly the hake, and the three course special offer for £19:50 was exceptionally good value. Since the rerstaurant was almost empty, we were surprised by the slowness of the service and the relative lack of attentiveness.

Homage at The Waldorf Hilton is spacious and airy with a relaxing atmosphere. The pate, pork chop and cheese cake were good and the Top Table deal made it value for money.

The Homage had a nice air of grandeur about it. Staff were quite attentive, however service was a bit slow. Food adequate and tasty. Good value and a nice place for a pre-dinner meal - as long as you leave plenty of time!

Homage at the Waldorf was an enjoyable evening and the food was very good, as was the service. Just very quiet, zero atmosphere, to be expected on a Tuesday at Xmas. Good deal for the food on toptable but drink prices kill that saving straight away!

The food and ambience was oustanding and so was the service up till desert was served. Once given our desert no one came back to see if we wanted more wine or coffe or tea. We all would have liked a coffee but were not given the opportunity to.

Homage at The Waldorf Hilton - started well with drinks in the classic cocktail bar, but his was down to our table not being ready. Service was friendly and attentive, however main course took over 45 mins to be served. Very tasty when it did arrive:-) Not a place to go if you are running to a schedule, but excellent for access to Somerset House or Covent Gardens

We had a lovely time at Homage. The food was excellent and the service was great too. The top table deal is very good value for money - 3 courses and a glass of champagne for £29. The restaurant itself is a beautiful room - it makes you feel very special!

Louise Hayter reviewed Homage at The Waldorf Hilton on 15/12/2008

Lovely food but a somewhat limited menu. The wine list was extensive and expensive, although there were some lower range bottles.
The waiting staff, although friendly, were very innatentive - we had to refill our wine ourselves throughout the meal. Also we weren't offered coffee at the end.

The Homage restaurant at The Waldorf Hilton creates lovely food and the service is excellent. However the dining room lacks ambience which therefore reduces the dining experience. Shame ....

As a Christmas dinner for my girlfriend and I the setting was ideal. This is a quite stylish place and as it wasn't very busy we had out own space. The menu wasn't revolutionary (pumkin soup and pate to start, hake and pork belly for mains, chocolate fondant and cheese for dessert) but was all well cooked and delicious.

My partner had a lovely lobster which was simply delicious- I know because I couldn't help having some of it! I loved the ambience of the place and we had a lovely Christmas dinner together. Highly recommended and we enjoyed ourselves very much.

Dion Deverill reviewed Homage at The Waldorf Hilton on 17/12/2008

Great deal - £29 for the Xmas lunch and all drinks were included! Venue is superb and service was top-notch. Really enjoyed our Xmas meal.

My mother and I went to the Waldorf on Christmas Day for lunch. Obviously, as it is quite an important day we were slightly worried that it would not live up to expectations. But we both had a lovely time, the set menu had lots of yummy choices and the food was very good. Service was impeccable. We both walked away very happy and enjoyed our Christmas Day immensely.
