Without Toptable I would never have found this restaurant. I%u219m sure that this Italian Café/Restaurant will do a roaring trade being near so many Ad%u219 agencies. Worth finding!

II Sorriso is a delightful small l Italian restaurant.
I admit that when I first entered the restaurant due to it's size and lack of diners, I felt it may have been the wrong choice for us. Once the food arrived all my concerns went out the window, the portions were big and tasty. If still available try the threee different pasta dishes.
The house red was so nice after a glass each, we got the bottle. The staff are friendly and I highlly recommend this restaurant to anyone for good food

Good quick service (pre-theatre in a hurry), food was alright, but nothing special. The £15 set menu had a limited choice of 3 dishes. Sat on the ground floor, that was small and a little bit ruined by a group of ladies discussing vomiting, diarrhea and other illnesses rather loudly on the table next to us!

Good value traditional Italian eaterie with a nice atmosphere. The set menu for £15 including a glass of wine really was good value.

Chose Il Sorriso because of the offer and people had written about the nice atmosphere. There wasn't much of an atmosphere but probably because it was a Monday. The food was very good though and filling. Cute little restaurant, probably be quite nice for a date.

We went for lunch at Il Sorriso on Charlotte Street. It was a pleasant, small family-run restaurant which served very fresh and tasty food. Some of the meals were quite pricey, but we all sticked to the pasta, which was very tasty and quite reasonably priced.

Il Sorriso is a pretty traditional 'local' Italian restaurant. The staff were friendly enough - well the young woman who served us was lovely but the older men didn't seem to want to talk at all. Very homely ambience - a lot of flashing fairy lights for Christmas. Classic Italian food - comforting, beautifully cooked - but not exactly challenging, contemporary, or what I would call 'gourmet' - but great for a work dinner as noone could not like it. I think a tad expensive. But good overall.

Ill Sorriso was a lovely little venue which provided an ideal atmosphere for dinner for two. The staff were very attentive and friendly and the food was delicious - I enjoyed the pepper and auborgine starter followed by the sole. I would reccomend this place to a friend.

We had a great time at Il Sorriso - fab food, great service and they weren't fazed by our big loud group! We were made to feel really welcome - even when dining on the special offer (which was great value!).

An authentic and charming little Italian joint, with a romantic atmosphere and friendly staff. The food for our £15 top table deal wasn't amazing, but it was good value. I had the Triple Pasta plate - three kinds of pasta, which was a carb-tastic treat. Servers spoke to us in Italian (always a good sign when you're at an ethnic restaurant!). Would go back to try the main menu.

My two close friends and I really enjoyed our evening at Il Sorriso. We hadn't seen each other for a while and just wanted to catch up over a nice, inexpensive meal, which is exactly what we got to do. The service was prompt but not intrusive, and the value for money was excellent with the two courses and a glass of wine for £15 deal. Obviously the food was not mind-blowing, but the pasta was good, and overall it was great value.

Il Sorriso is a very nice little restaurant, and fantastic value if you get the £15 offer. My only complaint was that they had one song %u213 'What The World Needs Now Is Love' %u213 playing on a loop on the stereo, over and over again. Eventually, we went insane and rolled around on the floor, cackling. The coffee was excellent.

I went to Il Sorriso with 2 of my colleagues for lunch. We had the £15 set menu which was very good value. There was not a lot of choice, but the 3 options for each course all sounded lovely. We all ended up eating the same, starting with the Antipasto caldo (mixture of aubergine pamigiana with roasted peppers topped with smoked mozzarella) and for the main it was the Medaglioni di manzo al pepe (medallion of fillet steak in brandy, cream and pepper sauce). Recommended - the food was great.

Another excellent meal celebrating my wife's birthday. The food was good, the red wine flowed (apologies to the couple sat next to us who closer to our red wine than I guess they had hoped for). Very friendly service. The staff made the evening very special.

Really nice environment with reasonable food. However, without the deal we got at Il Sorriso, I think it would have been a bit over priced. They were helpful and fast.

Tiny tiny restaurant - with many helpful and attentative staff on hand, who can complain at £15 for two courses including a glass of wine. Would go to Il Sorrison again.

This place is caught in a time warp! It's still the 1970s in decor and ambience. Having said that, they were charming people and the food tasty and fresh. Good value for money

The II Sorriso was nice and cosy for a romantic meal and the service was excellent, the only small dislike was that my partners pasta meal seemed to had been heated in a microwave, we had the £15.00 set menu meal which was filling and included two glasses of wine.
