Description of Indigo
Housed within the stunning contemporary London hotel, One Aldwych, Indigo overlooks the dramatic polished Lobby Bar of this luxurious venue. Less formal than its sister restaurant Axis, Indigo provides relaxed surroundings. The polished tables, striking flower arrangements and comfy armchairs make for the ideal people-watching environment. Several dishes come in two sizes so you can decide how much or how little you would like to eat and for those watching their waistlines, there are a number of dishes which are light and healthy. The wine list is concise but quality. Open every day for breakfast, lunch, pre and post theatre suppers and dinner. Popular with ladies who lunch, business meets and, of course, hotel residents alike. What's cooking: crab cakes with tomato, avocado and lime salsa, pan fried monkfish, red mullet and seabass with lime and coriander risotto, fillet of Scotch beef with wild mushrooms, spinach and parsnip purée and chocolate soufflé with chestnut ice cream and rum custard.

The first impressions of Indigo were very good, the high ceilings in the bar below and the impressive chairs and sculpture to boot were ticking all the right boxes for atmosphere. The service was warm, friendly and above all in keeping with the restaurant. The menus proved tricky but only in the sense we couldn't work out what to have, it all sounded good! A lovely bottle of wine, two great starters and two sublime fish mains topped off a great night. Would recommend happily to others.

Excellent service from all the front-of-house at Indigo, the restaurant was quiet, but the food took well over 35 minutes to come to our table and then was not hot enough. After our food was returned to the kitchen it came back after 10 minutes. Unfortunately still not hot enough. Thankfully the excellent front-of-house were v apologetic and only charged us for the champagne we ordered. It was a shame everything was lovely for my friend"s birthday, until the food came. Risk it again? Not sure.

Dining at Indigo after a Saturday Matinee was an excellent experience. The French cuisine they serve is second to none and they have a great variety of delicious dishes. The restaurant is conveniently located to the west end, and I would highly recommend Indigo as a place to enjoy a high class pre theatre meal. Service was great, although the restaurant wasn't super busy, and we had sufficient time in between courses to relax and enjoy each others' company. Great stuff Indigo!!

The food at Indigo did not disappoint it was beautifully cooked and perfectly presented - neither too much or too little. The atmosphere was refined but relaxed. Unfortunately the service provided by our waitress left a lot to be desired which somewhat spoiled the evening and on that basis we would think twice before returning.

Indigo was excellent, took my young son who had plenty to choose from and the pre-theatre dinner options were good value.

The Head waiter/ Managerpresented us with a bottle of Fizz for the ocasion & we then placed our order from the Theater menu which was all so nice. We had the pre theatre menu, a fairly limited choice but the food was very good. The wine however is pretty expensive
