Description of Ishtar
Marylebone is one stylish neighbourhood and Turkish/Mediterranean restaurant Ishtar is up to the challenge. The decor is smart and modern, with dining on two levels, including under cellar arches, very cosy. The menu includes all the things you love in Middle Eastern cooking, but updated. Try starter of grilled king prawns with garlic and parsley sauce, main course of grilled fillet of lamb with pastirma. Turkish coffee and wines are an absolute requirement.

Additional information for Ishtar
Mezze is perfect for sharing and Ishtar is perfect for groups. For small meals and celebrations, there are low vaulted cellars downstairs that seat up to 8 and make a cosy den. For larger groups, you can hire the downstairs exclusively, seating up to 112, or the mezzanine seating up to 30. The area is perfect for media parties and launches and the stylish decor sets a groovy scene. Try starter of grilled sausages and halloumi with fresh tomatoes, main course of grilled sea bass with potatoes and saffron sauce. The bar is very trendy and the vibe good, as are the drinks and wines.

Ishtar was excellent - they had a great value for money menu

Ishtar is consistently better than average in all categories. I especially like the set menus and reasonably priced wines. The service is extremely friendly if occasionally a bit clueless.

Ishtar is a breath of fresh air - a bit different yet very relaxed and welcoming. Excellent value even without a toptable discount, I will be back for sure

We had dinner at Ishtar last night. The service was good, the ambience could do with a more ethnic touch but it was a comfy, cozy place. The food is quite average. The portions were not generous & the flavors while nice, not the best Turkish I've had.

Ishtar provided s slightly different service this time I visited, we did not have any meze dishes like last time with the main course, maybe this was because it was a busier time.
The service was still good and the food was tasty. I don't think I would consider coming here if the food was full price because it lacks something special.

The food was very tasty indeed, but the service was painfully slow. The cold mezze, which one would have thought would be ready to come out almost immediately, took 45 minutes to arrive. However, the mezzes and main courses were very good. Would recommend for the food, but would only return in a much smaller group as service for a larger group was not satisfactory.

Had a fantastic Christmas party meal here. The staff were very accomodating and the food was extremely reasonably priced considering it was the Christmas period.

Second visit to Ishtar with my boyfriend for lunch. Great food and service as always. This time we tried a Turkish desert which looks like custard pudding and it was so delicious.I'm becoming to get addicted to this place.

This was my second visit to Ishtar. Started off badly as despite contacting the restaurant twice prior to the evening to arrange seating, my early arrivals were seated in the wrong place. However no complaints thereafter. Great evening, good food, and excellent service. All our guests seemed to have enjoyed the evening
