It was one of the very first top-flight Chinese restaurants in London and has never wavered one iota from its high standards. This elegant restaurant with its white table linens, Chinese artifacts, fresh flowers, superb staff and high-end Westernised menu is a favourite of Chanel-clad locals. Signature dishes are many, including five-spiced spare ribs, quick-fried courgettes stuffed with minced prawns, Mongolian barbecue of lamb in lettuce puffs, Sichuan double-cooked pork. Ken Lo's Memories of China was pleasant, without being very special. Food was not so different from other Eastern restaurants - exotic sounding dishes like Mongolian barbecued lamb were not quite as special as expected. Wine was expensive. Service attentive but tables too small to take all dishes.

Memories of China in Kensington is not just a good chinese restaurant,it's a brilliant chinese with very good food and service. The service was very smooth which is very unusual for most chinese restaurants. I would recomend Memories of China to all my friends without any hesitation

Well, the food is all right but not a Wao!!
The service is too rush to bring the next dish...they should moderate their speed...we are in a restaurant to relax and take our time....

Ken Lo's Memories of China. The food was good but I've had much better. Very little ambiance and our table was so close to the next one that we felt part of their conversation!

Thought the food was good, but a bit overpriced for a Chinese.

We were given an excellent table on a saturday night. Our drinks were flat on arrival which were changed straight away. At the end of the evening. we were given these free.
Overall we found the whole experience excellent.
Next time in London we would go back

Excellent and attentive service with a very pleasant manager as well ; relaxing and pleasurable ambience ; way above the norm peking duck ; very disappointing chicken w/ black bean sauce ; overall I will go back and will give another chance

Ate at Memories of China yesterday - the food was great. The starters were were the standard chinese ones, satays and spring rolls but the main dishes were just fantastic, not oily and generous portions. A bit on the expensive side at £165 (incl service and 2 bottles of wine) for 4 people but very good food. Definitely will return.
