Description of La Roche
Stripped floors, big arched mirrors, tall ceilings, sleek dark wood tables... La Roche gives the modern rustic look a run for its money, leaving Eastern artwork and multicoloured glass lanterns to hint at the Lebanese/Moroccan theme of the menu. Lots of classics, mixed grills, steaks, vegetable cous cous, and house special kleftiko - an especially tender version of the famous slow-cooked lamb dish. The aromatic charcoal grills are popular, particularly the filet steak, shish taouk (chicken) and lamb shawarma (grilled marinated slices of lamb). Purists note - the menu regularly diverts Westwards for all-time favourites like fish and chips, penne bolognaise and moussaka. Generous salads, too.
