Description of La Trouvaille
Small but perfectly formed, La Trouvaille is a classic French restaurant that seems to shun foodie fashion and serve traditional Bourgeous cooking, albeit with a subtle twist every now and then. With its white walls and scrubbed wooden floor, the dining room is bright, light and elegant at this Soho French restaurant and it provides a perfect backdrop for hearty French cooking. The food is authentically French and similar care and imagination goes into the wine list for the wine bar which comes predominantly from south west France.

Additional information for La Trouvaille
The lively wine bar and the bright, spacious first floor dining rooms are both available for private parties. Menus can be especially created and there are also wine and cheese tasting menus.

My two friends and I had a fabulous meal at la Trouvaille last night. The staff were very friendly and the food was great. We were also very surpirised by the number of French people surrounding us in the restaurant, and also downstairs in the wine bar - surely a good sign!

La Trouvaille tucked away behind Carnaby Street is a classy French restaurant with a good wine list and quality food.

When we arrived at La Trouvaille, it was still very early and quiet. Luckily, more diners arrived. The food was great, our scallops starters were delightful altough the mains were a bit underseasoned. Overall, a nice evening. The upstairs restaurant is very beautiful, whereas the downstairs wine bar is livelier.

I took my husband to La Trouvaille for his surprise birthday dinner. At first he seemed disappointed with my choice but once his starter of wild mushroom tart arrived he had changed his tune! I ordered the foie gras which my husband tasted, and commented "I did not know that was how foie gras was meant to taste" - he loved it! He then had a trio of venison for his main, and I ordered the roast partridge - both were delicious! Our wine was also excellent. I would definitely recommend La Trouvaille

Very good food, location and service. It felt like being in France, and being I am French myself so hopefully this is a constructive comment.

Lunch at La Trouvaille. Restaurant cold (radiator off) so asked to be moved from draughty window table - no problem. Smokie soufle starter excellent - good bread and butter. Main courses OK -my pork belly on the stingy side. Beef Wellington pronounced "good". Cheese uninspiring though truffled honey a nice touch. Wine list novel - a liitle bit of a lottery since very few I had heard of! However those sampled by the glass were interesting. For the price does not come close to Chez Bruce

As always, La Trouvaille isn't just dinner but a wonderful experience. The service is impeccable, the food exquisite and the ambience pefect. I have recommended this restaurant to at least 50 people so far but I think I might refrain because I would like to keep this my little secret! A wonderful experience!
