Description of Les Trois Garcons
What kind of London restaurant attracts the likes of Liz Hurley, Donatella Versace and Madonna? A genuine one-off. Les Trois Garcons is a handsomely converted pub, easily identified on Bethnal Green Road by its flaming torches. Inside the restaurant is pure theatre, the opulent dining room decor falling over itself with stuffed animals (mais oui, that is a bulldog with fairy wings), sparkly crystal chandeliers and all sorts of antique idiosyncrasies. Les Trois Garcons is a bit like being inside Salvador Dali's brain. The Anglo-French food is equally stunning. Duck breast stuffed with black truffles, cannon of lamb with a curry and chocolate sauce, and halibut with spring pea purée, shimji mushrooms, grapes and tarragon jus taste as exquisite as they look. The beautiful staff deserve praise too, for their warmth and knowledgeable service.

Additional information for Les Trois Garcons
London's unique Trois Garcons experience can be yours and up to 85 guests for a formal meeting, conference or get-together. If you're wanting to invite more - it fits 120 reception-style. A private room seats up to ten people, alternatively you can book it for modest receptions of 20 guests. Nick Strangeway (top London cocktail alchemist and bar manager at Che) has consulted on the cocktails, and they're every bit as good as the tipples served at sister bar, Loungelover, next door. Les Trois Garcons' wonderful wine list speaks to big spenders. What to feed your guests? Choose from the a la carte menus, a buffet, or a swanky set menu (Monday to Wednesdays only). There's caviar and blinis, should you want to push the boat out even further. Wheelchair access and disabled toilet. Closed on Sundays.

Les Trois Garcons is quirky, tasty, interesting and they even serve food. We had the tasting menu (7 or so courses) on a thursday evening. Each plate was good in size and tasty. My only criticism would be the deliverence of each course, the "special" restaurants make it a treat to deliver their courses. We had our cheese platter, six cheeses just delivered, no love. They should explain what they are and where they came from... Would I recommend it, I think its definitely think its worth a try.

Had a wonderful evening that was only marred by a very stressed handover management of our table... Book for the late sitting!

Beautiful food and great atmosphere. Lots to look at too! La Trois Garcon is now one of my all time favourite restaurants.

The food and restaurant are excellent. The Service was OK, but it did feel we were a little rushed with minimal time between courses. When paying the money, and being in the style of restaurant that it is, you want to relax and enjoy at your own pace.

Went to Les Trois Garcons on a monday night. Only one other couple there when we arrived but it filled up a bit later but still lacked any atmosphere. Found the food ok but nothing special for the cost about £160 for 2 with wine. Liked the bar nearby Lounge Lovers though.

I went to Les Trois Garcons on a date and it was an enjoyable night as always. The decor is impressive and the food is delicious, although the service was not really good; the waiter spilled my wine without evn apologizing. Prices have also increased a lot.

If you want to treat yourself then go to Les Trois Garcons. We went there for business dinner and found ourselves in a very different from any other restaurants that we had ever been. The decor was stunning and eclectically surprising. It is something. Amazingly presented food was delicious. There is a good choice of great quality wines. This is definitely a fine dinning place worth visiting on special occasion.

Great venue, the ambience makes it all. the food is a bit overpriced but excellent fish! I would strongly recommend it for a special occasion.

Le Trois Garcons - we both had the pan seared fois gras to start and that was absolutely devine. The waiter recommended that we had a glass of sauternes to accompany it which we thought sounded odd but went with it perfectly. The rest of the food was very good and we only managed a pudding to share - the creme brulle was superb. It's certainly somewhere I'd recommend for a special occasion.

I went to Les Trois Garcons on a business dinner and had a very nice time. My food was good although the other 4 guests mentioned their food was a bit rich. To my suprise the atmosphere was lacking slightly, but that asside, I would definitely recommend it as a one off to anyone that hasn't been. Great decor!

Les Trois Garcons in Shoreditch has a wonderful kitsch decadent feel to it. The service and food were fantastic - try the Scottish scallops - gorgeous! However, the goats cheese cheesecake left a very strange taste in my mouth - a bit like paint thinner. Our waiter was observant enough to notice my disappointment and ensured we left happy by offering us some free port. This is a place you come for not just for the food, but also for the great experience.
