We arrived at Locale in a hail storm so were disappointed not to have our coats and umbrellas taken from us - nor for them to have our reservation. However, the disappointment was short lived as the service and food were excellent. Good choice of food (fish, game, pasta etc), wine and cocktails in a friendly atmosphere. Just get those toilet seats mended - made it look like a dodgy pub. Will definitely be back.

Saturday night at Locale: a bit too busy but food was good, some of the service was excellent and live piano added to atmosphere. Fun, opera house style decor makes it feel more of an event.

An excellent venue for a Monday night steak dinner! Superb service, and great value for money. Will make visiting Locale Blackheath a regular weekly thing.

This was our first visit to Locale for Sunday lunch. The food as always was fantastic and they played soothing jazz music in the background.

Locale in Blackheath has become a favourite of ours. The staff are helpful and welcoming, the food - from an interesting but not overpowering menu- is prepared within view and we often come away with ideas for dinner parties. A good sign is that it is always very busy, yet we have never felt under pressure to eat and go. The cocktail bar is a good place to meet for a drink, but perhaps not sitting in a niche at the top of the stairs - the loos are directly below and they can whiff a bit.

Absolutely amazing dinner at Locale Blackheath. Being regulars there, we are always impressed by the high standards of service and cooking. Will highly recommend to everybody!

Locale is a really great restaurant - perhaps a little overpriced though. I was a bit shocked at how quickly our starters came out though - there was no time to eat our bread and olives!

went to locale for a special occasion and found it really nice and romantic.
the best part i think was the service, the waitress was brilliant and attentive, much better than some horribly posh places with dumb blondes.
the food was inventive, delicious and arrived with decent gaps in between courses.
the only bad point probably was the coffee i ordered at the end, the latte was horrible, it tasted like it was made from a sachet.

Fantastic location and superb 50% off steak on Monday nights make Locale the best place for dinner in the South East on Mondays!

Food was very bad - extremely over cooked pasta and bland sauces, bad quality ingredients.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The charge for the food was really high for the standard of cooking. I am used to eating in good restaurants in central London and I am always happy to pay for good quality this wasn't good quality.

Locale in Blackheath has a nice central location. It was easy to find and welcoming from the outside; decked out in twinkling lights. Once inside we ascended a staircase to enter the dining room which was very impressive. Very pretty, chandeliers were lovely, and the service too was very attentive. Food itself was of average quality howeverm and if I returned it would be for the venue/ambience rather than the food.

Locale on a saturday night - even though we were there for the early sitting - was very busy and our booking had been mislaid. However, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and we were soon seated. The food here is usually fine, but this was better than that, it was delicious: the goat's cheese salad, aged steak and guinea fowl particularly. Efficient service despite a full house and good live music all helped to add up to a most enjoyable evening.

Lovely setting, wide range to choose from and real value for money. Service was good from all staff, including a very pleasant and polite cloakroom assistant.

Visited Locale with 2 friends last night for their Christmas menu - v good value at £25 for 3 courses. All the food was excellent - including the traditional turkey which was superb. It was a busy night with a great buzzy atmosphere. Lovely cocktails to start so all in all it was a fantastic evening. Highly recommended.
