Description of Millbank Spice
Modern design meets traditional Indian virtues and the result is a marvellous marriage of the two. This smart restaurant is very contemporary, kitted out in spicy orange and regal purple with lovely decor all around. The dishes have been slightly modernised, but only in the sense that we're all eating more heathily these days, so fat content has been lowered and fewer artificial colourings are in use. The food is delightful, spicy and fresh and winning. In fact, you will probably find yourself surrounded by purring regulars on your first visit. Dishes include the classics you love, like lamb tikka, samosa, onion bhajia, tandoori specialities, special duck dishes, classic chicken tikka masala, featherlight naan and all the trad curries. Baltis are available if you ask nicely. The service is warm and helpful and the entire experience very nice indeed.

A very average indian food joint. The waiter was very authoritative . Sounded rude at times. The food has small quantity for the price it demands. Does not accept American express.

Good food and good service. Not much to look at in the area and the bathrooms could be improved as you walk past the kitchen in the basement to get to them which was confusing, but most import, the food was good and the service was good.

Unusual range of dishes including some you would expect on the menu. I had one of the specials (green masala) and it was really well cooked - good flavours.

All fine - staff were friendly enough and service was good. Food was great and portion size good and good value for money. I would go back if I was in the area but wouldn't make a special trip.

Food is better than average Indian/Bengali but with lighter sauces. It is not in the Cinnamon Club or Painted Heron league but then neither are the prices. There were 4 of us on Fri nignt and the service was acceptable. Not surly or rude as other reviewers found but just slightly unsmiling. £110 for 4 with wine (but not desert). Would definitely go back.

A large group of work colleagues went to Millbank Spice last night, as it was close to work. The food was good & at reasonable prices. Service was fast but with grumpy waiters, though we did manage to make them crack a smile towards the end! :-) The food is good if you're in the area but I wouldn'y go out of my way.

Milibank Spice, Average Indian Curry, Have had better else where for much more bigger sized portions!

Service was Dire, unbelievably shocking. Waiter was unfriendly and rude, when he had to repeat him self to a table of 15 people.

Was blunt and straight to the point in regards to question of size of portions!

I would not recommend this to anyone.

Millbank Spice proved to be a festive delight for us. A group of 7, a week before Christmas, and yet we had a good value, tasty, speedy, convenient, relaxed meal thanks to good service and excellent food. Over half of us had the brilliant lamb korai - and there were no complaints on the myriad side dishes and varieties of naans, chapatis and rices we had. If I have one complaint it would be the angle of the steps going down to the toilet - after a few kingfishers it could be a but hazardous.

Waited 45 minutes for food - when we were 1 of only 3 tables.

Excellent experience. The staff went out side to call us a passing taxi.
Wonderful decor and friendly service at a pleasant pace.

Great food, served quickly. Wide choice on the menu, an ideal curry house for serving those work night outs, when you want your decent meal, quickly and good prices and with the minimum of fuss. Watch out for slightly grumpy stuff and the incredibly steep steps down to the toilets.
