Description of Nakhon Thai - Wapping

This chic, authentic Thai restaurant located near Tower Wharf on Wapping High Street boasts a rich and diverse menu of original Thai dishes. The stylish décor at Nakhon Thai, a fusion of contemporary and traditional themes, culminates in the central Polynesian-themed cocktail bar - ideal for pre/post dinner drinks. The exciting menu from Executive Chef Chatchai Jamjung, combines flavours and techniques from various regions of Thailand and is romantically inspired by 'seasons of the Far East'. We love the Nakhon Thai Noodles with roast duckling and vegetables, and the char-grilled king scallops served on a bed of red chilli and lime sauce. The wine list is reasonably priced, with 12 wines available by the glass.

Food in Nakhon Thai is excellent - best thai food I've had for a long time. It was a little quiet when we went, but the service was still excellent and the cocktails were good too. Would highly recommend.

Great venue,excellent service,terrific food.............would be expensive without the toptable deal and the drinks were a little pricey,but we had a great time and enjoyed the live music as well as the excellent food.

We went on the Toptable offer so it was reasonable. The setting was nice as the restaurant faces the river and was generally quiet and good for relaxed meal with friends and just chill and caht (esp. we went on a Sunday evening). The food was ok to good, nothing too special. They do have my favourite dessert sticky coconut rice with fresh mango which most Thai restauarants have on the menu but never serve. will probably go back again and it's still reasonable if you didn't have the cocktails

Nakhon Thai in Wapping is an excellent Thai resaturant and not run of the mill. Good range of dishes to encourage you to try something new. Nice views across a small park to the river. The quality of the food was excellent, though this is reflected in the menu price, though for the quality is good value for money. The service was attentive, polite and discreet. An excellent bar and cocktail menu that provides a more special occasion. Portion sizes are spot on, particuarly if you have a starter.

Me and a friend had a great evening at Sabor. The restaurant was quiet but the food was delicious and the sevice great. It had a very relaxing atmosphere and very good value for money.

Warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was nicely cooked and over all good value for money. The restaurant Nakhon-Wapping is in 10 min. walking distance from Tower Hill tub station, much closer to the city than it seems.
