This was my third visit to Silka, i've alway enjoyed the food there before but on this visit my food was cold which was rather surprising as the restaurant wasn't busy. However i would go back!

Went with a group and the food was very good - just what it said it would be - very tasty but quite light. service was esoteric with three of the group getting a mild insult but that just added to a fun atmosphere. very good - would go again

The serice here clealry let's the quality of the food down. The waiters did not know we had a table and then we were told to wait before we could order. The impression I got was that they waiters really did not want to be there. The food was excellent though. On the food alone i will def return. With it being a basement bar it is not the type of place that you dine the night away.

Silka is always a winner with the TopTable deal - even twice in the same week !

Everything could be summed up in one word - average.

Silka was overall a good experience. The food was tasty with good portions. However, some starters were quite hot and it was not specified on the menu so few people could not finish them, apart from that the rest of the food was very good. The staff was not really friendly which was a bit disappointing.

The food was more about quality than quantity - the portions were smaller than you would normally find at an indian, but the food was a lot tastier. The restaurant was quite empty, perhaps because it was a monday, so it surprised us that the waiters were less than attentive (apart from when we actually had the food). Overall, a good spot for some good food - but not somewhere if you are in a hurry.

Silka is an old favourite of ours. This is our first time back in a few months and it really lived up to our memories The Lamb Grren Curry is particularly special and the Aubergine main course was excellent. Highly recommended.

Silka was certainly the nicest curry house that I have been in the area. The food was really good, excellent fish curry menu. The goan lamb and lamb jalfrezi were really tender. I would definitely eat here again, although would not recommend it for a romantic night out.

Silka is exceptionally well-placed: stumbling distance from several pubs in and around Borough Market and the tube entrance to London Bridge. Not suprisingly this attracts a really boisterous crowd on a Friday night. The food is excellent though and the service unfailingly polite and friendly. It's not expensive and with the 40% discount a real steal. On that point, however, you have to be careful to order two courses to qualify, you can't just order lots of mains. We almost got caught out.

Silka restaurant- Nicely presented decent food. highlights: green herb lamb and the aubergines. 2 startes, 2 main coures with 2 rice and 2 sides and a bottle of wine (house, not good), £25 each including 40% off.

Once again the food at Silka didn't disappoint, the stir fried baby squid was so tender, and the lamb in green herbs superb. Its so nice to have such a variety of different food from your run of the mill Indian restaurants. I would recommend this for a real foodie. The staff are friendly and courteous.

Silka remains my favourite Indian restaurant outside of East Dulwich!

The four of us had a lovely meal at Silka - two had the Herbed Lamb which was pronounced to be delicious. There was a good choice for vegetarians and the food wasn't too oily (which it often can be). The service was friendly and early on a Thursday night it was busy which is always a good sign.

Silka is still my favourite curry in the city. The food is good quality, very tasty and the staff really look after you.

Our visit to Silka was on a quiet Wednesday evening, we turned up half an hour before our booking but that did not cause any issues. We were quickly seeted and drinks and starters arrived quickly. The Mixed Starters was very popular and tasted nice. Overall a very nice experience. Beware of the mirrored toilets, especially if you have been drinking!
