Description of Souk Bazaar
It must be those of us who are too young to hit the hippy trail have a secret hankering to get away from it all in a kaftan. However, instead of jumping on a ferry from Southern Spain and heading for North Africa, we do it in our lunch hours and head for the nearest North African restaurant. Souk has been going for about three years and is very much like stepping into Morocco - all low seating, cushions, low lighting and vibrant colours. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening they lay on belly dancing, and there is a dj after 11pm every night except Sunday and Monday (and every night during December!). This restaurant is great value, offering 3 courses for only £15. Very Moorish if you are looking for a cheerful, cheap venue in the centre of town.

It was simply excellent, nice atmosphere, good food and very friendly staff. We rely had a good time, and recommend highly to visit when in London.

It was the second time i've eaten at souk bazaar . The first time was excellent but last night the service was terrible unfortunately. However, the "feast" at £20 a head was excellent. For starters we shared a selection of dips and pittas, and for the mains we had lamb, chicken, cous cous and vegetables which were all lovely. If you're lucky, you might get one of the private rooms tucked away at the back of the restaurant.

Cocktails are very good but very pricey. The feast menu is the best value.

3 of us went to Souk Bazaar on a Monday night and it was pretty busy. The decor and ambience of the place was auth Moroccan style with fabric ceilings and lanterns and very low seating (may not be suitable for those of you with long legs!). The food was fast to arrive after ordering and was really well prepared. Would go again in the near future.

Friendly, and reasonably helpful given they were absolutely packed the whole evening we were there. They only had 4 shisha pipes, which was restrictive for our crowd of 15, but was not unreasonable.

I was not impressed by the phone call i received on the day of the reservation to find out there was a minimum charge per head. We easily met that level, but I should have been informed when i made the booking, not on the day of the event.
All in all, would go again.

It was fine, but did feel a bit like we were being processed through. Food was fine, but I think this place is better for groups.

Souk has a lovely. lush feel given it is quite a large room. The food was great - we went very early, so the service was particularly attentive.
