Description of Spicers
We were once on a photo shoot where the snooty art director refused to touch anything except Spicers takeaway. The food is fresh, inventive, and very tasty. Now this delicious deli has got a proper restaurant where you can enjoy their gorgeous salads, sushi, sandwiches and more in a smart and relaxing setting. The style is minimalist, but comfortable, too. Set in the very luxurious and modern Crowne Plaza Hotel hard by Blackfriars, the Spicers dining room is just right for low-key business lunches or easy after-work meals. The ingredients used here are fresh as can be and the service is just right.

You probaby already know Spicers from one of its chain of takeaway delis or you've been the beneficiary of one of their smart delivery vans. Now, at the fabulous Crowne Plaze Hotel in the City, Spicers has a chic little restaurant where you can nosh through their yummy menu away from your desk. And if it's good for lunches, its even better when shared with a group. Another business breakfast at Spicers, and it is good if you are in a rush. Usually busy, but not too busy, you can still hear each other talk.

I booked a last minute meal for 4 at Spicers. Was greeted by friendly staff and shown to our seats. Was a nice gesture when we received a free bottle of red wine as i had booked Via toptable!!
Food was really nice, as we didnt want a big lunch the restaurant were happy to serve us starters as our main course (only slightly larger). I have been to Spicers before and would reccommend to others.

thanks x

Being a monday lunchtime the restaurant was pretty dead (only about 2 other people), however the decor was nice and we were shown to our table promptly. Although there was only one vegetarian main course dish they were very accomadating, however I ordered two starters for my main as they looked so nice! Others in my party had cod and chips, which was apparently 'mouthwatering' and burgers, which were 'especially delicious'. My starters were equally good. Very impressive food for a lunch time.

Lunch at Spicers was enjoyable. Quality of food was quite good and waiters attentive and nice. Service was slow despite not too many guests.

Fine for an internal business lunch, but not special enough for a client occasion. The service was somewhat slow, but the staff pleasant enough.
