Description of St Alban
Situated in London's star-laden West End, St Albans has gathered an impressive array of foodie admirers during its tenure on lower Regent Street. Formidable heavy-hitters such as Michael Winner, AA Gill and Matthew Norman all fell head over heels with the impeccable service and contemporary Mediterranean cuisine; while celebs and regular folks alike have continued to pack the place. Equipped with an in-house charcoal grill and wood fired oven, dishes such as charcoal grilled skate with capers, lemon and pine nuts and veal t-bone with olive mash radiate Mediterranean sunshine, whereas slow roasted Norfolk black pig with savoy cabbage and roasted quince is as comforting as a down blanket. Desserts such as bitter chocolate tart with milk ice cream and the weekend special of seafood and chicken paella should not be missed.

We went for the pre/post theatre offer at St Alban which was two courses for £15.50. The food was good and the service excellent. T?he toilets are amazing. The only negative is that the drinks were pretty extensive.

Slick and solid if unspectacular meal. Toilets were nice though!

Execellent restaurant. We would all definately recommend it and go again. The staff were very professional and attentive and even asked if we were going to the theatre, when we would have to leave-the food was served accordingly. The food was fantastic-very tasty and presented well.Loved the ambiance, decor, but the staff really made it.Can't fault anything and look forward to visiting st Alban again.

The service at St Alban was top notch and really helped to make the meal. My cornish squid was pan seared to perfection, with a nice salad of peppers, lentils and green leaves. The pork belly was cooked just right - nice and crisp crackling. The rice pudding to finish was lovely. All in all, a very relaxed meal with excellent quality food and great service.

St Alban was moderately busy on a Friday lunchtime in the holidays; the welcome was very pleasant and serivce continued to be attnetive but not obtrusive. We chose some of the menu's red seasonal items and enjoyed tasty, well presented, quite rich dishes. The wine list provides a good range from France Spain and Italy. Quite pricey at menu price, the prix fixe available at certain times is great value.

Excellent evening! Great food (especially our starters and dessert), pleasant atmosphere, and attentive but relaxed service. We'll certainly be back.

I booked St Albans for my husband`s birthday. This a highly personable venue with a few striking HIrst pieces. The food , service and ambience makes this an undeniable London treasure. We were also given complimentary choc triffles and champagne to end a perfect evening. I

St Alban was an enjoyable experience. We were made to feel welcome from the start and given personal attention throughout our time in this restauant. The food was excellent and the advice we were given as to which wine to choose was most helpful and appreciated. The toilets were amazing and worth a trip! I would be very happy to go back to St Alban for another meal.

St. Alban was a perfect choice for an early evening meal in town. The ambience was great as was the food and the welcome. Good bread and oil served and a good bottle of Douro for around£22 was very good value. There is enough choice on the set menu and i have to say i thought cooked and presented very well. A great choice if you want a breather from the west end

We enjoyed the meal deal (2 courses for £15.50) after hearing great reviews. The menu had plenty of choice, and the bread basket was great. The food was very good. The atmosphere was slightly empty when we arrived (at 6.30) but did pick up when it got busier. The decor is very fun, very art deco, and the toilets are fab! A good deal all in all, for good food and good service. Especially in this part of town!
