Description of Strada - Kensington
The number of Strada restaurants in London reached double figures a while ago. That it continues to rise comes as little surprise to the many of us who've eaten there. Strada's deserved popularity rests on its consistent offering - simple, top quality Italian food at prices that don't hurt the pocket. The ground floor of the Kensington branch is a cosy, smart den frequented by journalists and business people by day; tourists, foreign locals and Albert Hall visitors by night. Woodfired oven-baked pizzas are large, thin crust and very tasty. Bestsellers, however, are the meat grills. New specials are introduced regularly. A good, affordable all-Italian wine list and adorable staff complete the happy picture.

the food was good - however it takes ages for us to get the bill. I suppose their staff was running short yesterday..

Diner next to us was offered the toptable menu without having booked it.We were not happy about this because it s because we fwlt it belittled the offer we had. Staff grasp of English very poor in some cases

Good for a reliable Italian restaurant to catch up with friends.

We were allocated a corner table which was very pleasant as we were celebrating a private birthday dinner. The three members of staff who waited on us, were pleasant, communicated well, served us without keeping us waiting, and smiled throughout the evening which was much appreciated as one of us was not well with a cold. The food was good though the only thing I would say is that my chicken saute was too dry and should have had a sauce with it. Otherwise, we very much enjoyed ourselves!

Strada was pleasant as always, the manager in particular was fantastic. The food was great, plus we had the two for 1 offer which helped on cost.

The food was good, service was prompt and the toilets were modern and clean.

The service was quite variable on our trip to Strada. The staff were friendly, but our pizzas arrived at least five minutes after everyone else's food and were not that hot, which suggested they had been sitting around. Given that they were not that busy on our visist, this was not acceptable. Still the pizzas and bread here are very good and it's a safe haven when in the West End

Strada 29 High Street Kensington - visited prior to concert at Royal Albert Hall - very convenient for the RAH. Service and welcome superb. Food good but not quite up to the standard of the Richmond branch of this chain. However the slight drop in standard more than made up for by the level of service. It should be noted that the standard of service in Richmond not so good as Kensington. Overall I'd give it 8 out of 10.

My partner& I had lunch on 4.12.2008@Stradas.The food and service were good. The only disappoint was the mixed bread basket which we both felt was a little light on the variety but other than we had a good lunch.

The restaurant was pretty quiet as it was a weekday so they were fine about us being a little late for our table. The service was ok although the waiter mistakenly charged us full price. However, once this was pointed out the problem was quickly rectified. The food was average, and arrived quite quickly. Good for a casual meal out with group of friends.

The three of us had a meal at Strada South Kensington on the 2 courses for $12.50. Very good value for money and the three of us hadn't court up in months so had a lot of grounds to cover, so took our time and the staff never made us feel rushed. The food arrives very promptly so it would be a great place to go if you have limited time.

They might not have expected such a big pre-concert crowd for a Monday night. The food was good and the serving sizes were decent, but service was slow. It took an hour for mains and then another ten minutes waiting for the bill. They looked understaffed, but at least the staff were trying hard... The top table deal for 2 courses for £12.50 made it good value for money.

Great food at great prices!

RH reviewed Strada - Kensington on 05/11/2008

Went to Strada in Kensington for pre-theatre meal with top table speciall offer of 2 courses at £12.50. Most of our food was delicious (especially the creamy mozzarella starter); however, one main course featured rock-hard small potatoes..took a long time to change. As a result the waiter, unsolicited, took off the price of our aperitifs as an apology. All round, a good dining experience and we made the show in plenty of time.

The menu has changed at Strada, I had the lamb shank which was lovely, would definitely recommend it. The seafood linguine looked lovely too.

We had dinner at Strada on High Street Ken on a Wednesday night. Not the place for a special occasion but the food was decent and the service was good. Was a little on the pricey side. Overall would recommend.

Strada Kensington
We were given a very warm welcome as the first customers of the day. The service was friendly and attentive. The food hot , well prepared, delicious and presented well. The special at 2 courses for £12.50 was extremely good value; bottled water was free and wine reasonably priced. The whole occasion was very good value. The restaurant is ideally situated for the Albert Hall and highly recommend. We will certainly visit again.
