Tao was fine for what i wanted it for. Nice evening catch up with friends. I think the food is very expensisve for what it is although nice. was lovely sitting out in the courtyard. Towards end of evening service was slow (i.e paying bill etc) but I would go back

Nothing special here at Tao, but fine food for an ok price. We had a table outside which was nice and the location if you work around Mansion House is perfect for lunch!

We love Tao, go there regularly, and will continue to do so. The food is always spot on and our smoker friend appreciates the courtyard where we sat under large umbrellas and were very snug in spite of the monsoon! Service a trifle abrupt this time although this isn't the norm. Their salt n pepper squid starter reamins the best I have ever had (and that's quite an achievement..!)

It was a really lovely evening. One of our party turned up late so we sat in the bar area waiting. We weren't rushed to our table or rushed through the meal at all. All 9 of us had a wonderful time.

I enjoyed the meal and it was quite good value, including wine, but I think the standard of the Asian food suffered a little due to the fusion, the tempura batter was very heavy

Tao was a simple easy lunch not overly pricey or austentatious. Good middle of the road.

A nice restaurant serving good food. They have made good use of space and the outside area is very pleasant and perfect for a summer's day lunch.

The food was very good and the Maitre D' was very attentive, but we had a waitress when we first arrived that was very unhelpful, and bordering on rude. Fortunately this didn't spoil our experience. Short but excellent menu.

Tao was a nice restaurant, nice location, nice food for a lovely relaxed business lunch, not too formal, not too pricey, not too casual. A good solid bet.

Its safe to say I won't be returning to Tao. A great location is wasted on this establishment whose offering can best be described as confused. The starters were on the table in about two mins after ordering which leads me to believe that all were microwaved, the service was at best disinterested ( led me to a table for two when I had booked for five)and at worst rude. This was a Friday three weeks before Christmas and the place was practically empty. That tells a tale.

Tao is ok. Very strange Chinese / Italian menu so you can have crispy duck for starter and pasta for main course! Food was actually quite good but the whole thing is slightly odd.

I had previously had drinks in Tao but never dinned before and was very impressed with the food quality and service. The 1/4 duck was ample for 2 to share and the staff offered more pancakes if required. The seabass on a bed of Spinach was delicious - I ordered extra spinach which was not really required. We ordered a reasonable priced Savignon Blanc which tasted of peaches and was very pleasant. All in all, an excellent meal which I would highly recommend.

I have been to Tao many times with clients and friends; the service and food is excellent and I can thoroughly recommend their prawn curry.

I have been to Tao a couple of times - this time we opted to sit in the bar section. The staff just left our food on th bar and we had to go get it ourselvels which was annoying but it was yummy and I still like the venue

This was the second visit and on both occasions, it was very quiet which was disappointing for the atmosphere. Service was first class though and portions are large.

I went to Tao with a client & we sat outside as it was a lovely day.Service could have been better as we were being pushed to order. The chili squid which i ordered was excellent as a starter and the chicken starter was excellent.I would definately go there again but would try in the evening.

I eat regularly at Tao. Tao offers a decent meal at reasonable cost, with the option of a half bottle of wine, suitable for lunch. Guests appreciate the possibility of enjoying a Chinese starter and an Italian man course, or other unusual combinations. A well run establishment.

Tao is wonderful. I've eaten there several times before & intend to again! The food is absolutely spot on, combining flavours and textures that excite the senses. The chef is genius. Low spots - we weren't given a bread basket (although we always have been in the past), & I ordered a port and was given a glass of soda water..!! The manager was quick to compensate with a round of free drinks though,& I was far more amused than annoyed. The courtyard is beautiful & a boon for smokers :-)
