Description of Terranostra
In London's City district, moments from the Old Bailey and just a short stroll from St Paul's Cathedral, Terranostra is a sophisticated and chic Italian restaurant, totally different from the usual theme-ish trattoria. Huge floor to ceiling glass windows lead to a bright, airy dining room where sleek earth tones, from warm wood furniture to simple cream walls create a relaxed atmosphere. Street side dining is also available for those sunny days when people watching is the order of the day. The menu of Italian classics and Sardinian specialities is a million miles from a packet lasagne, using gorgeously fresh ingredients and unique ideas found nowhere else in the capital.

Terranostra was an unusual and interesting venue. Everyone enjoyed it and said they would definitely go back.

Very good food, it is a superb place for business lunches and the servive is very attentive and friendly. We had the Linguine with crab and veal steak for main course, outstanding, and wine very good priced wine list.

Excellent italian food, well prepared and served. I especially liked the duck for lunch and their unique sardinian desserts. Prices were not cheap - they could do with a top table deal for lunch.

Have dined here several times and it has been excellent, not so yesterday. Can only suggest that you book to dine early or the restaurant shouldn't take bookings for late lunch.

Booked Terranostra for a business lunch - good ambience, good service and definitely good food. Two of us ate rack of lamb and it was beautifully cooked. The others ate steak and veal - all very tender. Deserts good too - just the right amount and well presented. Would definitely go back here - good food at sensible prices.

Terranostra offers excellent service and wonderful food right in the heart of London. Even the building works directly opposite didn't detract.

This used to be really good, is going down hill fast! Limited menu, very small portions, very slow service. Good Luck

Terranostra focuses on food from Sardinia, Italy - so, not your average Italian fare. Very interesting variety of fresh breads with Sardinian olive oil. Tasty food beautifully presented: stuffed baby squid; Sardinian pasta rings (NB very al dente!) with scallops, aubergine, pesto; delicious chilli crab spaghetti. Will definitely be back to try other dishes.

Terranostra is a small place which should be better known. Highlights were the bread basket with wonderful home-made breads including the Sardinian "carta da musica" flatbread. Grilled swordish was excellent, and save room for the home-made dark dark chocolate ice cream. Our only disappointment was the wine - we didn't make a very good choice, I suppose.

Terranostra is an excellent neighbourhood style Italian convenient for the City. Food was high quality, traditional, Sardinian flavoured Italian. Service freindly and efficient. Wine list more interesting than the usual London lists. Hilarious response to one of our guests asking for parmesan with their crabmeat linguine - but they got what they wanted!

Terranostra is a little gem in the City. Lovely food, relaxed atmosphere and value for money. You're lucky to get one out of three in most places around here leave alone 3 out of 3. Would highly recommend.
