The Ark....well...the bread was nice...shame about the rest.

Artk is a neighbourhood restaurant located just behind the bus stop. Not the nicest entrance, but a small, quiet and nice restaurant. Good food at a decent price and nice service as well. Well suited for a quick meal as well as for friends enjoying a long conversation

I have been here quite a few times and it never fails to please. The ambience alone is worth writing about. The food is great but it helps if you are a red meat lover. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area or want somewhere special to take someone special.

The food was of a good standard and the service was attentive. It has a good selection of wines, intimate tables but not over crowded and well priced.

The Ark is a really quaint well designed restaurant. The Manageress is extremely pleasant as are the rest of the staff. The menu has just changed and was most enjoyable. The bruschetta to start was a good portion and was not pre made so you could put it together yourself. I had a main course of chestnut pasta which was delicious. As too was the pear dessert yummee!!

We went to The Ark for a family meal and all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves once again. The menu is always full of a variety of tempting ingredients and it always proves difficult to choose something new when you've tasted some of the classics previously. The portion sizes were perfect and the flavours of all dishes were delicious. The wild mushroom taglietelle was light and flavoursome and the fillet of salmon that I had for the main course was poached to perfection. We shall return.

The Ark, now an Italian restaurant, is much more than the exterior suggests. Having arrived before midday, we were told to go away by the chef, as he enjoyed his last cigarette of the morning. Not even the offer of drinks! We later took lunch in the alfresco area - suffering from traffic noise but a very pleasant sun-trap. Excellent menu, with stuffed courgette flowers an unusual but splendid starter - at a price. Good choices for main courses. Drinks were overpriced. Service attentive.

Wonderful ambience for a romantic date night. The quality of food, wine and service was excellent and I will go back. It looks like a pretty patio for outdoor dining when the weather improves.

This was my second visit to The Ark and it was excellent on both occasions. The manageress was a delightful young woman and was there to make sure everything was perfect. I cannot recommend The Ark highly enough.

Myself and my Husband visited The Ark last night and was really pleased with our choice of venue. The service was great and the food was out of this world. The menu had a wide range of choices and the waiting staff were very helpful when we were chosing our wine and food. My only complain was that it was slightly hot in there, apart from that, we'll definitely be returning!
