We dined at The Avenue on a special offer lunch menu. This was excellent value. The food was delicious and the service efficient and friendly. We would eat there again.

Restaurant is well decorated and has a nice ambiance. On the TT 3 course meal was tasty. Service good throughout.

The AVENUE in St James was a very pleasant surprise last weekend. The main courses were surprisingly good. Re deserts I am diabetic and they even provided me with some cheese instead of the statutory desert included in the set menu. My 3 other guests ate the deserts which they said were excellent. We ordered extra vegetables with the main courses, the wine was good (we ordered 2 bottles of house wine - in addtion ot the free glass of wine with the menu). We will be back. Well done Avenue.

We visited this restaurant for drinks. The service was impeccable and you felt a sense of sophistication and grandeur. The cost of drinks were average for a hotel in London. I would definately visit once again, and probably include dinner as well.

The Avenue is a very nice space, the food is nice, the service was a bit poor - although very nice people, the staff did not seem that bothered to the point it got a bit annoying. Pleasant night though and would go back if getting a deal...

Excellent food - very tasty and well presented. Loos frustratingly difficult as doors open inwards, not something a thoughtful designer should have included. Ambiance - only 2 other tables so dead quiet but probably v busy at other times when it would be v noisy. Great food.

Four of us ate at the Avenue, it was comfortable, the service was good, not outstanding, the food however for the price was excellent, the ambience a little lacking.

Before my visit I thought of Avenue as a really up-market restaurant in St James. It's not. I went on a Sat at 8pm with 2 friends. the room was 1/3 full, our waitress definitely did not want to be working that night (or perhaps at all) and although the food was absolutely fine it would not be worth a detour. I had the £1995 TT offer for 3 courses and a glass of wine. On the offer it's worth trying.

The Avenue Restaurant is well worth a visit. Great service, decor and food although the set menu is slightly limited.

2nd trip to The Avenue and it was good. Fishcakes were tasty and crumble dessert with custard was heavenly. Nice open and tall space for entertaining.

Lovely venue and meal. Very empty early on (6pm), but became more crowded. Second time there, would go again...

The avenue was great. They had a set menu for the rewards points but it was very good! We had some great wine with the meal and enjoyed very much the experience. The ony thing is the ambiance is very banker and not that cosy so as a couple, not my ideal place but great for a business lunch or dinner.

Fab food at the Avenue. I had the pork - divine, melt in the mouth, boyf, had the tortellini also great! However, service less than friendly. Waitress surly and impatient, slammed food down and spilt wine. Did not detract from evening....

The Avenue was surprisingly empty for a Saturday night, and subsequently the ambience was non-existent. We had to order all three courses at once, which was slightly annoying, then the starter and main courses came at the speed of light - had we not asked for a breather we would have been in and out in less than an hour. The gravadlax starter had a few slivers of salmon arranged around the edge of the plate with strategic salad hiding the empty middle. Disappointing, we wont go back.

The dinner was excellent and the set menu offered was well balanced and delicious - we were all impressed with the overall quality and level of service. Certainly good value for money. Shame there were only 8 occupied tables and that the cavernous space of Avenue lacked atmosphere as a result of not being a busy night. However, this did not stop us enjoying our evening. Thank you.

Servuce at The Avenue was efficient but seemed a bit off-hand.

The Avenue is a very modern restaurant with a cosy atmosphere, mainly lit up by the oil burners on the tables. Food was excellent value for money, and ample portions. Would definately go there again.
