Description of The Butcher & Grill
Fancy embracing your inner carnivore? Then stampede down to Battersea's Butcher & Grill, where meat reigns supreme. Sturdy wooden tables give way to contemporary French windows, giving the dining area a rustic yet contemporary feel, while abstract photos of Smithfield market's heyday grace the exposed brick walls. Customers have the option of making their selection from the butcher counter, or choosing their cut from the menus and having them grilled or roasted to their liking. Simple sides like potatoes, veg and salad round a meal at the Butcher & Grill out nicely, and a 75-bin, red-heavy wine list has been carefully chosen to emphasise the quality of the flavoursome meat. You can purchase the finest meat and produce sourced from some of the best suppliers in Britain from their butchers and Charcuterie or the chefs are willing to prepare something for your dinner party!

Additional information for The Butcher & Grill
The Butcher & Grill's welcoming staff are primed for parties and can accommodate groups of up to 18 people on one table. Something larger in mind? Hire out the whole restaurant, complete with large outdoor area, for events of up to 74 people seated.

Not the best location, quite hard to find but the quality of the meat is wonderful, very well cooked, good service. Worth a visit!

This was my second time in going to the Butcher and Grill and I can't wait to go again. The only slight complaint for last nights visit was the music, we seemed to have the chipmunks singing.

Great meal very good steaks - staff very helpful. Would def go again. (Maybe we should not have ordered so many chips!) Enjoyable experience.

Buthcher & Grill is brilliantly simple and simply brilliant. Good food, great wine and a buzzy and informal atmosphere. Loved it and will be back!

The Butcher & Grill has a NY feel about it - like Gallahers Restuarant in the US, where you are treated to the display of various meats, as you enter thru a butcher shop wonderland - my father would have loved it. The service was very courteous but the foold delivery was a bit on the slow side. However, the steaks and meal options were cooked as ordered and very delicious. So definite recommendation on the food side. I will return for a weekend brunch when warmer to enjoy the waterside view.

The Butcher & Grill serves excellent food at quite high prices. It wasn't very busy for a Friday night, but then it was raining quite heavily. The staff were quite friendly and very accommodating - we were the last to leave. I would definitely go again.

Butcher & Grill in Battersea. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We ordered one sirloin, one pork chop and one lamb shank. We also placed a side order of two portions of chips, one of mashed potato and one for brussel sprouts, carrots and gravy. When the food arrived, the lamb shank actually came with mashed potato - we wouldn't have ordered this had we known. Steak was literally just that on a plate, no mushroom/tomato (which are usual accompaniments). Meal was nice though.

Last time we went as a group (of 7) we had friendly but terribly slow service. This time as a group of 10 we pre-empted the problem by pre-ordering by email, which meant that we all got our meals at the same time, thus vastly improving our enjoyment of the evening. The food was still "cool" but at least we all ate at the same time, and it was truly delicious. I do think 12.5% tip is a bit steep considering we did a lot of the work for them ourselves... however the staff were very friendly...

The restaurant, food and service was ok but it is a bit of a trek from the nearest stations. Not sure I would go back again for this reason.
