The Dining Room at Dukes Reviews

Dukes is an ideal place to meet, eat and speak. The atmosphere lends itself to comfortable conversation whilst the staff are efficient and friendly without being obtrusive. The food is excellent and the choice varied without being overwhelming

The starter (Dressed Crab) was outstanding. The main (steak) was OK but that ihas more to do with the fact that steak is steak.

The service was completely connfused - did not know who ordered what. That is probably to do with an untrained waitress.

Overall, lovely atmosphere and brilliant food at price ooints that are appropriate for an upmarket restaurant.

The food was lovely and they accommodated the various allergies very well. The atmosphere is made for hushed discretion so don't go if you think you'll be even vaguely noisy.

this is a good place for a very long civilised lunch, even if you dont want a very long lunch you will get one here.
Nice enough place but too slow for my tastes.

We just like the Dining Room at Dukes. It's in a hotel tucked away off St James's and you hardly know you're a minute from busy London streets as the ambience is so pleasant and the staff so attentive. Only slight criticism this time would be the somewhat limited options for the vegetarian diner - goat's cheese or goat's cheese - but Duke's still remains good value for money in a fine setting. It may not be the best cuisine in town but it's not bad and wins out in other ways too. Recommended.

I had lunch at The Dining Room at Dukes and was very pleased with the quality of the food and the service. It was not busy but, as it is quite a small room with a low ceiling in places, it was a nice atmosphere. I imagine that it may get a little noisy when full. I would certainly recommend it as a very good lunch venue.

The dining room at Dukes was absolutely splendid. Attentive but discreet service, excellent traditional food and a good well priced wine list. The dining room itself is tastefully decorated with plenty of space between tables which adds to the relaxing atmosphere. Its also well worth having a drink upstairs in the bar first, a super evening all round.

Dukes's Hotel Dining Room - Beautiful hotel, great service & although we were the only people in the restaurant (Christmas time) it was an excellent evening. But beware, the drinks in the bar are very expensive.

The Dining Room at Dukes was a relaxed haven for a Sunday lunch, with Dukes being tucked away between Green Park and Pall Mall. The three course sunday lunch with coffee & petit fours as part of the £22 offer was of high quality and excellent VFM. We would recommend it highly.
