Description of The Greedy Buddha
The Greedy Buddha restaurant in London's Fulham neighbourhood is a rare purveyor of real Nepalese food. The setting is no yurt it's a sleek, smart, contemporary corner restaurant in natural shades of curry powder, cream and persimmon with wooden flooring and tables with leather banquettes and lozenge shaped modern lighting dangling over head. The downstairs bar is a chillout zone you won't want to leave. All dishes are freshly prepared from scratch using the freshest ingredients possible with no artificial colourings and authentic, too, as all the chefs are Nepalese. Live music of a cool jazz blues variety happens ever other Thursday evening. The owner, Ram, does everything possible to make your Greedy Buddha experience sublime.

The food curry based fresh Nepalese cooking is a crowd pleaser and the atmosphere couldn't be bettered. I'm a regular at the Greedy Buddha - it's delicious food & great value for money. ideal for grabbing a bite with friends somewhere local. (the atmosphere isn't the reason you'll go back - but I keep going back for the food!)

The Greedy Buddha was a pleasant surprise given the venue. The restaurant is basic and the downstairs 'chill out' area feels kind of unfinished. But the food is exceptional, and well-priced. And the staff are lovely -- there when you need them but never hovering over you waiting for you to finish. Definitely recommended, but don't worry about dressing up.

Excellent

For delicious and affordable curry I cannot recommend this cheerful and solicitous little local highly enough. Their Nepalese curry is so very tasty that I experience unexpected cravings for it after longer than 2 weeks away and has to go back for more.

The Greedy Buddha reminded me of traditional Nepalese food. Having spent some months in Nepal the sauces are very authentic which is a change from some of the 'rubber soup' being services these days. Highly recommended so get there.

We really enjoyed our meal at the Greedy Buddha. The food was excellent (the Nepalese curry is highly recommended), service was very good and great value for money. They hasd run out of Nepal Ice beer but we look forward to trying it on our next visit!

Brillant, although the chicken was probably slightly over done. Very enjoyable!

Having eaten here on many previous occasions as usual the food was superb. Always cooked fresh. Presentation is good. Last night, because they were busy service was not as good as usual but otherwise no complaints!

We were disappointed that the menu was more Indian rather than Nepalese food. We ordered 3 starters which were terrible value for money. The Green Fish is amazing! I would go back to this otherwise very disappointing restaurant just for this dish. It seems that they might have been having a bad night as our experience of the service was terrible. It was not a super busy night and yet they kept trying to take our unfinished food away. In the end they succeed, forcing us to finish our meal.

Great evening at The Greedy Buddha with extremely helpful service plus delish nepalese curries. Very chilled atmosphere despite being busy. Best of all the bill came to £50 for two inc. 3 courses with booze! Fab local restaurant, I'm already planning my return.
