The Lane Bar Reviews

The Lane was a very impessive restaurant with a fabulous cabaret singer on the night we went. The crowd was sophisticated and the whole evening was very memorable.

A group of 19 of us went to The Lane to celebrate my 25th birthday. The service was impeccable, the barmen were very pleasant and they allowed for the whole party to arrive before we sat at the table which was an hour after we had originally booked it for. They also allowed for me to change the booking very last minute! The portion sizes were small but very tasty. Would go again but definately a place to save for a special occasion.

Celebrated a friends birthday at The Lane recently. Again the food was excellent, good portions & well presented, & service was attentive, but not intrusive. Admittedly it was a Weds night & fairly quiet, but that didn't stop us having a great evening. Word of warning though, parking spaces are hard to find, so leave plenty of time to hunt around - better still, get a taxi!

Visited The Lane for the first time & was pleasantly surprised. Nice decor, with friendly staff & good food. Try the duck breast pancake roll, absolutely divine. You also get an amuse bouche, red kidney bean soup (tastes much better than it sounds) which is a nice touch. The mains are a good size & quite tasty too. I had the chicken coconut run down with asparagus which was lovely & not too filling, although I personally wouldn't have served it with rice & peas. Definitely worth another visit!

The Lane Restaurant is a really nice and well kept venue. The staff were fabulous and provided an excellent service. The food was good and had excellent presentation. The only down side was that the cuisine was supposed to be carribean and so I expected it to have a bit of spice but there was no spice at all.

I went with my IT Department for a Christmas meal. I found the restaurant atmosphere fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious with a very good selection of wine and spirits. The food was presented majestically, almost seemed a shame to eat it! I had not had Caribbean cuisine before, but I have fallen in love with the food.

he Lane is a nice restaurant, easy to get to and the waitress was friendly. However, it is not a particularly "Caribbean" restaurant.. the food had a hint of the caribbean but that's all! it seems like a nice place to go with a big group to start a night out though.. My partner said he wouldn't go back there, but I might!
