Yet again impressed with 'the larder'. My only criticism is that I would have liked more people in there on a sat night to create more ambience - but apart from that was great!

Lovely restaurant and with the TT deal of 50% off great value for money. Well worth a visit.

I took my girlfriend to The Larder for a surprise meal on a Friday night and we were both very surprised with the service and the food. The waiters/waitresses were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. I would definitely go again. The 50% off deal is also a real bonus!

3 of us took advantage of the 2 courses with prosecco offer (£19.95) on a Thursday night. The place was full and buzzing with contented diners. The floor staff did an admirable job to keep up with the pace but they were clearly busy. The Kitchen turned out amazing seasonal dishes. Great recipes making the most of fresh produce without too much complexity. Solid cooking in a convivial atmosphere.

The Larder was very lovely, with a relaxed feel to the restaurant. we were left to chat over wine to start and take our time over ordering as we had been shopping all day. The food was incredible value with the 50% off offer we had, however without this the food was not massively expensive. I was far too full for desert but these looked lovely too. i would recommend anyone to go to this restaurant, large groups or a couple.

A wonderful seasonal lunch at The Larder with fine flavours and excellent presentation although slightly expensive!

On a wet Thursday evening, the Larder was really full which gave it a great atmosphere - because it's so big, it never felt cramped. A table for 2 could easily have sat 4, which makes a change from most places giving you a table for 2 and cramming 4 people on it! The food was tasty and well presented, although my fat chips were a bit undercooked and I'd have welcomed more than 6 of them! As ever, the 50% toptable deal took an expensive meal for 2 into "good value" territory!

Starters were fairly average, the prawn salad was actually a prawn cocktail - very 80s! - and the chicken liver parfait was fine but not noteworthy. However, the main meals were great. We had the confit of duck and steak and kidney pudding and thoroughly enjoyed both. The restaurant looks great, but lacks ambience as it very large but was empty, even at 9pm on a Friday. Overall, throughly enjoyable and good value with the Top Table deal (2 courses + glass of Prosecco £19.95)

Second time I have been to The Larder on the 50 % off food offer. Again it was a really good experience though the menu seems to have been limited slightly. Still had plenty of choice and I would heartily recommend it

The Larder is pretty quiet on a Saturday night, but this didn't really detract from the experience (and meant we were able to actually have a conversation). The chocolate plate as pudding is huge (and delicious). Great value with the toptable 50% (although, as they clearly state, only on starters and mains).

KL reviewed The Larder on 13/11/2008

Nice food, great atmosphere. Was good value on the special offer, not sure I'd want to pay full price for it though.

We've eaten at The Larder a few times now and this time took my dad, who is very used to smart business lunches and difficult to please. He really enjoyed it. Good wine selection and almost completely new menu since since we ate there only a few weeks ago. Still one of my favourites for a well priced meal in Clerkenwell

the seabass was very fresh, and the pak choi added interesting flavours.Another excellent meal from The Larder.

Once again we had a wonderful meal at the Larder,I ordered Calves Liver and when it arrived it was a little too well done for me,but they instantly made me another and then didn't charge me,wonderful service.

A great night enjoyed by all. The Larder was a great choice, the ambiance was good, we booked our table for 6.30 and was served well - great staff, great food, would recommend. We got 50% off our main meal - so good value for money too.

The second visit and just as good as the first!! 50% off deal is great value!

Elizabeth Lo reviewed The Larder on 19/11/2008

Food was excellent, service was okay. we went at 6.30, so the place was pretty empty. £20 pounds per head with wine and dessert. very good deal.

PP reviewed The Larder on 19/11/2008

A friend and I had a quick dinner here last night and were delighted with the food and the service. It's a big resturant so can seem a little empty, but to be honest, it was a Wednesday evening! Would certainly return, perfect to try with the 50% offer.

anon reviewed The Larder on 11/11/2008

The food is good as always though the last time we went there the 50% also applies to the dessert but not this time. With the discount at TT it is definitely worthwhile, would be pricey without the discount.

RG reviewed The Larder on 14/11/2008

The Larder in Clerkenwell was quite cool, lots of exposed brick and wood. Even though we were dining early it was filling up rapidly. The half price menu had most of the choices on the full menu, we had chicen liver pate, and prawn salad for starters followed by calves liver and venison. The food was delicious and the service friendly and informal.Good value with the offer, but without it could be pricey. Two courses with sides plus a 500ml carafe of wine came to £20.a head
