Great live music and some really good food. Only downside was that the plates were cold so the food cooled down a bit quickly

the special offer made this great value. Food was good - not fantastic - and service was good.

The Living Room - Islington
Very busy and lively obviously Christmas livens things up.
Can not fault the service, polite, present when needed, and sociable. Food was very good steaks done to perfection.
Wine choice from a good range. Think the wine flowed a little too freely. Great loos, great evening with great company.

Another pleasant visit to The Living Room, although I was disappointed with the amount of meals that were unavailable, perhaps this was due to dining so close to Christmas. As always good cocktails and my guests particularly liked the steak and ale pies. I'm sure to go back again, hopefully when there is a deal on next time as it's quite pricey without.

The Living Room - Islington. Great service, good food, fantastic price with 50% off offer.

The Living Room at Islington has great ambience. Very buzzy, and live music on a saturday night. However, the food quality in terms of presentation and size is not as good as the one down Heddon St. On a 50% deal its a bargain otherwise it is slightly pricy for an average meal out.

The desserts were good but were a little disappointing considering its normally to die for. If you want a good time I would reccommend coming here.

Toilets were average and waiting staff were ok.

I would definitely recommend the Living Room in Islington - perfect for either romantic dinner or dinner with friends, they do great cocktails too! They have a pianist some days too so worth trying to book to coincide with that. Food was fabulous, service was great, and we were sat in this lovely leather booth so worth asking for one of these when you reserve.

had a great evening food was excellent, atmosphere was buzzing, & so far i have had only had 1 peice of negative feed back about the seating arrangements I know there was 20 of us but it would have been nice to have a round table we felt like 2 parties. but we are definately considering a return visit in the new year

AB reviewed The Living Room - Islington on 10/12/2008

Pretty average, wouldn't return, though the TT discount made it acceptable. Very noisy room, decent service, good loos. Meat very ordinary, peppercorn sauce underflavoured, veggies reasonable, starters (esp goat cheese tart) quite good, weets oversugared. Pleasant service. So many choices in Islington, this does not stand out.

The Living Room was nice enough for an office Xmas meal. Lively atmosphere and the service was friendly. It did seem that the prices were a bit high for wwhat was effectively a gastropub. The prices were definitely restaurant level. Food was OK but not outstanding. We had a nice enough evening but I would not necessarily go back in a hurry.

The Living Room is one of my favourite places in London. The staff is always friendly and the food is simply devine. And with the special offer it's really worth going!

lovely food and a good choice and we weren't rushed by the waiters. Good atmosphere.

Henry Straker reviewed The Living Room - Islington on 06/12/2008

The Living Room in Islington served us like special guest with a swarm of waiters ready to please. I thought the background music was a CD playing but quickly realised it was a singer with a piano - classy. The food is delicious, I had rib-eye and chips with a beer, loved the chips and the steak medium as requested, a nice selection of cocktails and drinks.

I will be returning soon for seconds.
