Description of The Meeting Palace
For tasty authentic Sri Lankan fare, and super-friendly service, you must pay a visit to The Meeting Palace in Harrow High Street. The colonial interior - compete with carved wooden elephants, coconut matting on the ceilings and walls and North Indian knick knacks - reflects the traditional menu. Favourite dishes include fried anchovies, fish fried rice, a cashew curry and devilled king prawns. The bar is separated from the dining room by carved wooden screens, and is the perfect spot for a pre/post dinner drink, and the walls are adorned with work from artists in Sri Lanka.

Definitely worth a try in Wealdstone.

The Meeting Palace is a goldmine in a very down-at-heel area of Harrow - Wealdstone. Amazing flavours and value - £13 for more food than we could eat. How can they make any money with lunch on offer for £3.95! Just hope it's here for a long time.

The Meeting Palace is a good restaurant hidden in Wealdstone. The staff cannot do enough to help and the décor is a cut above most Indian/Sri Lankan restaurants. The food is generally prepared to a good standard %u213 the cashew nut curry and coconut rice were very good though the veg jalfrezi was a little bland. The devilled dishes are v hot so be prepared!

The Meeting Palace - I had been there once before and had thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the ambience and it was cheap as chips! My visit this weekend was ok, the food was really good and service ok. However there was a maasive private party and there were only 3 spare tables, the restaurant was simply 'too noisy' & we left in a hurry, not really enjoying the evneing & the same could be said for the other visitors there outside of the party. Would visit again but make sure there is no party!

The Meeting Place was a real find. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The service was friendly and helpful if a little erratic at times. We didn't feel the singer with the electric organ ,especially with his choice of songs such as 'If I saw you in Heaven' sung in English, added much to the atmosphere. However, overall we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would certainly recommend this place for a good meal out.

The staff very helpfull, at The Meeting Palace, as it is the first time eating Sri lankan food. She chose the dishes not on prices but to reflect the flavour of her country. I did not know what to expect but very pleasantly surprised. We shall be returning with the family.
