Description of The PhoenixSister restaurant to Sonny's this airy white walled eatery is much frequented by Putney mummies who go there with their girlfriends for a glamourous lunch and arty types in the evening. Just like Sonny's chef Roger Brook serves up modern British fare with aplomb and the service is relaxed and friendly. A great place for Sunday lunch (£17.50) and you can bring the kids. Lovely sun terrace in the summer. What's cooking?
Jerusalem artichoke soup, smoked haddock, spinach, ratte potatoes, poached egg and hollandaise, butternut squash rotolo, crisp sage and pine nuts. Early bird menu £12 for two courses Sunday to Thursday.
The Phoenix is one of our favourites, we were a little disappointed last time we went but it was back to its best last night. Great to see Eton Mess back on the dessert menu!

Another lovely evening at the Phoenix, the Vincigrassi is a must! although portions seemed a little small for a main course. Will definitely be back again.
