Description of The Priory House
We defy you to walk on by the decadent reds and fairy lights twinkling in the window of The Priory House and not be irresistibly drawn in. The cosy Mediterranean themed interior is all sophisticated dark leather dining booths, natural stone, copper, wood, sumptuous reds and mirrors - perfect for a romantic tête-à-tête, get together drinks with friends, family dinners, long lunches, light dinners ... need we go on? In the summer months The Priory House restaurant's big draw-card is the lovely French doors which fling open to reveal a patio for alfresco dining. An in-depth and extremely well priced tapas menu continues the Latin theme, with sharing dishes such as deep fried halloumi and pinenuts, dolcelatte & spinach risotto balls with romesco sauce, Pimientos rellenos and Spanish tortilla. Or head to the bar upstairs and try one of their classic-with-a-twist cocktails, such as the Passionfruit Mojito, Cosmobulitan or a Cuban side car.

Downstairs, the roomy Z Bar can hold up to 70 guests. The Priory House is the perfect neighbourhood venue for a bash that will be the most talked about all year. The cocktail and tapas menus can be tailored to suit your requirements.

We've eaten at The Priory House many times and once again, the food, service and ambience on Friday night was fantastic.

A friend and I dined at the Priory House before an evening film at the Shepherds Bush cinema. I knew it was highly rated by other diners, and it certainly surpassed our expectations. My friend chose an excellent rioja to start us off and was very excited when she saw garlic prawns on the menu as apparently she can't find them outside Spain!. Service was friendly and generally responsive though a bit uncomfortable giving personal recommendations. My new favourite tapas: can't wait to go back.

On arrival the ambience immediately hits you - wonderfully relaxing music playing softly in the background with candle-lit wooden tables and comfortable chairs. The food is tasty and the portions good if not amazing and the service is relaxed and unobtusive. Go for the ambience above all!

The Priory House is in a great location for Olympia and a good venue for big groups- it has big tables and its tapas type dishes are great for sharing. It is a big dark for a romantic dinner but nonetheless quite cool with its gothic feel and good value for good food.

The food here was really amazing but we weren't impressed when our bill was hiked up at the end. Would still recommend though!

Food is always excellent and the lunch specials are definitely value for money. Wine selection could be a bit more extensive.

As always the priory house is excellent, if you don't go here then you are missing out. Excellent service and excellent food - one of my favorite London restaurants! GO NOW

Been to the priory house 3 times and every time is better and better - my favorite London restaurant by a mile

Good ambience, but food was not very special. Good wines though. I missed a bit of Spanish ambience that I would expect in a tapas bar.

The Priory House is an excellent venue. They cope well with large groups - but service, though friendly can be a little slow. It took a long time to get the bill - the waiter coped extremely well with 11 people paying separately. The portions are large - which makes them good value. The recommended 3 tapas dishes per person might be a bit much for some.

The Priory House looked amazing from the outside, as we entered we could not believe it was completely empty on a Saturday night. We had great service and the food was very good. The place was lovely but out of the way. We might go again but would be put off if it was empty again. Such a shame because it was a good restaurant.

Great food and great service at The Priory as usual - though it is very disappointing that they no longer make cocktails...

The Priory never fails to disapoint. The range of food is outstanding and once again had a lovely evening here.

Pretty good food, good selection of traditional (and non traditional) tapas - and great bottle of NZ wine. Always recommended even though off the beaten path.
