The most beautiful setting for dinner. Stunning decor, unassuming staff and a delightful menu. Perfect for a special occassion or romantic meal.

The Reading Room at Claridge's last Saturday lived up to expectations in terms of atmosphere and ambience. The food was a good standard, but not amazing, the service very attentive, the wine list excellent and not as expensive as some of the other reviews suggest. Definitely worth a visit for a special occasion.

The food was very good, although it's not going to blow you away. What really makes this place is the ambience. It was so relaxing to eat in the Reading Room and the atmosphere was very calm and private. The service is really excellent, and as with all of Claridges staff, completely unpretentious. The set menu at £35 for three courses was excellent value.

The Reading Room was an excellent choice and both the food and the service were everything you would expect from Claridges, and quite reasonably priced. Be aware though that, although the fixed menu is good value, you can expect to pay quite a bit more for the wine.

Fantastic art deco building with live piano/bass creates a great ambience. Really good food too.

enjoyable evening.we were treating business colleagues who had not eaten at the reading room before-they loved the meal!

Reading Room at Claridge's. Wonderful venue, wine list was even longer than 21 Club's! A La Carte food was perfect, if a bit pricey. The set menu looked reasonably priced. Wine was very good, however an ice bucket mix up robbed us of finishing our (expensive) wine. However a swift apology and removing it from the bill was more than satisfactory. The restaurant is in the hotel lobby, so can be noisier than you may think, we found the buzz added to the experience. We would recommend highly!

We went to the Reading Room in Claridge's for my boyfriend's birthday last Friday and the service was probably the best I've experienced in a London restaurant. Our waiter was excellent and provided us with recommendations. The food was delicious and the set menu we had at £35 was reasonable. I would definitely go back again!
