Description of The Real Greek & Mezedopolio
This traditional Greek restaurant is perfect for a light bite while out trawling through the shops of Islington. Serving only meze, there is also a nice array of drinks to compliment the greek bread and dips.

The Real Greek & Mezedopolio Reviews

great food... we ate like kings... the service was a bit of miss, since it was very difficult to grab the attention of any waiters. however, when they came to our table, they were very friendly. The venue is gorgeous. a brilliant place for parties. just a shame with the poor service that we received last night...

We were after a good quick meal at The Real Greek & Mezedopolio and we were not dissapointed. Fantastic food and service. A shame the toilets were a bit yucky, but aside from that it was a great meal before a night out. Kudos.

The Real Greek and Meze in Hoxton Market is a fabulous place to dine with friends if you love sharing and having tasters of everything in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Our mezze plates could not be faulted all of it was very delicious and filling; highly recommend the kalamari for it's taste. Dessert was fab too. Good value for money with 2 courses, wine and service £25 pp. Will definitely return.

The Real Greek is a lovely restaurant, great food, pleasant atmosphere and attentive staff. We had 3 courses with a bottle of wine and found the price to be very reasonable. Would very much recommend it.

We booked a dinner for six in the Real Greek and mezedopolio. We found the vegetables and meat sharers delicious, the service nice and the dessert sharer a good value for money. This restaurant has a great ambiance, really cosy with a low light and candles and enough calm to maintain a good conversation. Perfect!

We ate at The Real Greek in Hoxton and it was great. It's in a very interesting bulding and the atmosphere is cool and relaxing. The food is relatively simple but very good and at a most reasonably price. We'll go again.

Really nice restaurant, however chicken wasn't on the menu tonight due to a supplier error. It didn't spoil our evening though the staff were lovely!

Tuesday was a little quiet but the service and food was fabulous at the Real Greek. We had a brilliant waiter who was very attentive and recommended an excellent combination of flavours. Definitely do the mezze - everything was absolutely delicious! Highly recommended!

The Real Greek at Hoxton Square is a really good place to spend an evening as you can just order and eat as you want. Our first time in a Greek restaurant and we were looked after with 5 star service, cosidering my mother is in her early 70's that's no mean feat! The food was great, ambience excellent and the noise level was just perfect. The staff are knowledgable and friendly. I hope to be able to visit again

I came to the Real Greek & Mezedopolio with only modest expectations, and I'm afraid these were only just met. The staff were not particularly welcoming and the service perfunctory at best, and there was certainly the air of a "chain" establishment about every aspect of the meal (including the hardly justifiable prices). The big plus about this venue is the wonderful listed building it is somewhat incongruously housed in; I recommend popping in for a drink instead.

The Real Greek is lovely with great service and a nice bottle of house red, bit on the expensive side for what you get but a nice place to spend the evening with friends.
