The Real Greek, service was a little slow although the restaurant was empty. Food is very nice although a little expensive for what you get.

Went to The Real Greek Restaurant with a large group, we were able to book last minute for a Friday night. The atmospshere was great and food fantastic and very reasonable. Our waiter has very friendly, but a little run-off his feet with lots of large tables, so drinks could be a bit slow.
OVERALL - a great restaurant for groups

Great location by the Thames with good food and fantastic place for a big group. Went with a group of friends who all enjoyed the evening & food, and felt very comfortable to chat the night away. Would recommend it!

The Real Greek was a very chilled choice on a Sunday lunchtime. Not too many people in, food was good. My only gripe was that there wasn't physically enough room on the table for food and drinks for the two of us! We had to put some stuff on the floor. Good otherwise though.

The Real Greek had delicious food, and the big platters were very conducive to socialising with others etc, but service extremely slow, and slightly clueless staff. It was a great location with a beautiful view, so would definitely recommend if you're not in a rush as it's a great place to while away the evening.

Service was earnest-didn't feel like a chain at all.Great location by the river with views.Used a two-for-one coupon on mezes coupon (google it)-they were very nice and accepted with no problems.Would definitely go back.

Would recommend for location and concept. Greek mezze very appealing although hoummous very solid and nothing really notable. Good location to combine with visit to Tate Modern or Globe theatre SB

We went to the Real Greek Bankside for my birthday with a small group of friends. I chose it as it was central to everyone, something a bit different and had good reviews on TopTable. I also liked the fact that a few of the reviews said service was slow as we didn't want a rushed evening. We all had a really great evening, the food was delicious, the staff friendly & courteous (and yes a little slow!) and the whole experience something to remember.

Excellent place for groups or couples. Wide selection of food to mix and match and tempt the palate. Loved the healthy greek meze and wonderful views of the river.

The Real Greek South Bank. Food was great. Good atmosphere, just easy going, and the waiters were good once you managed to grab their attention! I agree with the other reviews - so we were aware that the service is likely to be bad - let's just say - don't be in a hurry when you go there! Good value though - we were all full and at £22 per head incl. a bottle of wine and uzo - not bad. Definitely recommended.

We booked the Real Greek last minute for a quick bite to eat, last minute on a Friday night. The location on the river is excellent and the place was bustling. We liked the food and the presentation (shared platters) enhances the sense of a busy cafe. The only problem we had was the slow service and delay in getting the bill. Otherwise, it's a good spot.

The Real Greek Bankside seems somewhat confused in as much as it presents a modern exterior - with a chrome and dark wood decor, glass front and high stools - but, as the name would suggest, boasts of genuine Greek cuisine. Having eaten in more Greek Tavernas than I would care to mention, my principle criticism is that the experience and the food seemed quite Anglicised and consequently not in the least bit authentic. Would recommend the souvlaki for a tasty lunchtime snack, not an evening meal.

The Real Greek offers a brilliant lunchtime deal- three plates for £4.95. Our party of three ordered nine delectable dishes- the domades and whitebait were delicately flavoured and delicious. Portion sizes were generous and we left stuffed. We shared the tasting menu for dessert, which was nice enough, but by far the best dessert was the greek yoghurt with pickled walnuts, which sounds healthy but tastes sinful!. The ambience was a little bit modern & metallic & the service friendly but slowish.

Although the atmosphere in The Real Greek-Bankside was great and the location beautiful, it didn't make up for the average food and rude service - when my friend was deliberating over the menu, the waitress pointedly told her that "I'm busy and I do have other customers you know". How to lose a customer in 10 words.....
