Tootsies sits among the stylish bars and eateries of the bustling Brayford waterfront, one of the Lincoln's liveliest areas, adjacent to the university campus. High-ceilings and big windows directly overlooking the water make this a modern, airy space, while lovely staff and a relaxed crowd create a cafe-culture atmosphere. Tootsies is where people - especially young families - go when in the mood for a decent burger. There's nine to choose from. Perhaps most popular are the all-American mains: the combo (rump steak, baby back ribs, chicken skewers, homemade green coleslaw, £14.95), and the medley (BBQ chicken skewers, half rack of baby back ribs, coleslaw and corn on the cob).
