Description of Tower Tandoori
One of the oldest tandoori restaurants in London has had a makeover, with lovely new decor and lighting, but it still offers the same sumptuous Indian cooking that has made it a favourite for nearly thirty years. The light, bright frontage leads into a warm, modern stucco dining room with mocha leather seating and traditional artwork and pierced metal wall lights. The menu includes dishes like starter of birballi lamb chops, main courses of murgh makhani, or one of the many expert tandoori dishes. Add some naan, raita, rice and something from the drinks list, and you'll be glad you made the trip.

Indian cuisine lends itself perfectly to sharing among friends, or to corporate banquets, with its multiplicity of flavours and textures, and its possibilities for endless courses of new flavours. The Tower Tandoori, fresh and sparkling from its recent relaunch, is a smart, contemporary space with sleek lines complemented by Indian textiles and artwork. There is an area, seating up to 10, that would be good for small private groups. The menu includes starter of murgh tandoori, mains of lamb rogham gosht, sundry of lemon rice. The service is helpful and the experience very pleasant indeed.

My boyfriend and I went here for New Year's Eve and while the staff were clearly very busy the service was excellent and the food was really delicious. It was a lovely start to our evening and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

An excellent meal, food was very good, full of delicate flavours and fresh, good quality ingredients. The best Indian meal we've had for a very long time.

I went to Tower Tandoori last night with some friends. The place is nice and pleasant, with some tables giving on the street which was nice given the weather. The food was great - our best dish was a mild chicken dish which melted in your mouth -, they had interesting dishes like butternut squash in cream sauce. My boyfriend likes very hot food and the lamb he got was perfect (and well indicated as such on the menu). The only let down was the service which was rushed and a bit awkward.

Tower Tandoori
rather a lot of browish looking food with lots of sauce. Good atmosphere and decor.

Tower Tandoori had excellent food (especially the lamb goan curry) with first class service. It was a pity that there was a rowdy office party as this spolit the ambience somewhat. The menu pricing was reasonable with the serving sizes being very generous! Left feeling very satisfied and would be happy to recommend this place to others

tower tandoori - nice and cosy place to dine. very good service. some of the dishes like tandoori chicken and sheekh kababs were excellent. curries in the thali were a disappointment as they all have similar flavour & spices.

Good food for a Tandoori but service is a bit strange. Several waiters for the same table but they do nnot communicate one with each other, i.e. we have been asked 3-4 times if we wanted some more beer...
I do recommend it though

The vegetarian thalis are great value for money.

Very nice ethnic decor in an area that needs some. Service was pleasant. Food tasted good but gave it a low rating since a few of us were quite ill the next day - we think it was the lamb - but no real way to be sure... Too bad since it seems like a very nice place.

So good. I was with a tough critic and even he was raving. Extensive menu. Flavors and textures were excellent. The service is a bit weird. They have tables out front but I don't know who would want to eat a few feet from Tower Bridge Road traffic. I thought it was very reasonably priced considering how nice the food was. For two people our bill came to 63 pounds before tip. That included a cocktail, one glass of wine, one beer, a starter plate, two mains, one dessert and a boozy coffee.

The place is a bit far away from any tube station.

Probably the best Indian restaurant in London...and ive been to a few good ones! im very critical but this restaurant is highly recommended, they have managed to tick the boxes in every department possible: great food, ambience, service and value.

Tower Tandoori shows definite promise. Food is tasty but hot food sometimes arrive cool rather than piping hot. It is slightly on the pricy side but food is fresh and meat succulent. Waiters should smile more though...

The best curry I've had in a long time and very pleasant staff. Recommend the garlic and cheese naan and butternut squash veg dish - superb!
