Description of Trattoria Italiana Biagio
Trattoria Italiana Biagio is the original of six Biagio restaurants. Located on cobbled Villiers Street between Charing Cross and Embankment stations, it's only a two minute walk from the Thames in one direction, Trafalgar Square in the other. Dark wood trattoria-style tables and chairs, numerous wine bottles, Italian photographs and prints, and pretty posies on every table create a warm, friendly space in which to enjoy an affordable pizza, pasta or whatever takes your fancy from the generous menu and specials list. The atmosphere is so cosy, it's almost family-like. The most popular tables are those near the window. Lots of tourists eat here, and a business crowd regularly lunch here.

Always a pleasant dining experience-no big ambitions or frills-but comfortable, with focused staff, and simple palatable food.

I returned to Tratoria due to the good time I had on my first visit. They didn't have my booking information, but I was quickly consoled by a complimentary limoncello. Service was friendly but slow and the food was good enough. I Might give then a third chance but maybe not for a while....

We arrived at Trattoria Italiana Biagio for our booked table and were left standing in the middle of the restaurant while they cleared and reset a table. After this dubious start we had a lovely meal and enjoyed our evening. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a reasonably priced meal at a 'non chain' place.

Friendly staff, bustling atmosphere. Food was all reasonable. Good pre-show venue.

For my partners birthday, i booked us in at the Trattoria Italiana Biagio in Charing Cross. It was in an easy to find location and judging by the amount of diners it was very popular. The resturant looked lovely on the out and inside, the only downfall was it was rather cramped. The service was brilliant, staff were very quick to serve us even though they were all rushed off there feet. The food was absolutly gorgeous, all traditional Italian dishes. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We ate at Trattoria Italiana Biagio on Saturday 3rd Jan. The restaurant was completely full but we did not have to wait for a table as we had previously booked. The service and the food were excellent. All staff were extremely professional and aimed to please. Prices were extremely good for London. Would definitely revisit.

A little pricey and one of our dishes, went sent back, arrived after all of the rest of the party: that said, everything I tasted was pretty good, and they ran after me with my coat when I forgot it!

We went to Trattoria Italiana Biagio for a pre theatre meal. Even though extremely busy and popular, our meal was served in good time for us to get to the theatre comfortably. The meal was excellent and the service good. The ambience is spoilt by a little overcrowding and proximity of tables otherwise very good indeed.
