Description of Truc Vert
Truc Vert restaurant in London's sleek Mayfair almost started the restaurant-plus-deli concept. With the rustic charm of a French fisherman's hut, honest, unpretentious Truc Vert is named for an unspoiled Gallic beach. The Medi-French menus change so frequently they're almost spontaneous, featuring fine ingredients simply prepared that deliver vibrant flavour. Packed at lunchtime with local workers, Truc Vert goes slightly uptown in the evenings for romantic dinners with white table linens and glowing candles. Tables on the pavement are great for people-watching and you can bundle up some goodies from the deli counter before you go. Wine tasting evenings are popular too.

Additional information for Truc Vert
Truc Vert is too intimate to be hiding a private dining room, but hire of the entire venue will let you bring up to 55 friends to sample la vie rustique in deepest Mayfair. If you want a single large table, the guest list drops to 40. Cookery classes with chef/owner Russell Cameron could be arranged.

ok so stuck by the door again but service was super swift and Truc Vert's food is always excellent and good value for money.

Clean, fresh, delicious and always great food. Excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I just can't fault anything and that why I'm there almost every week!

Truc Vert was just what I was looking for. Good food and ambiance that did not cost a fortune.

A lovely cosy restaurant, nice food and very generous portions.

Truc Vert, cosy, warm, welcoming and fantatsic food. A bit gutted that some of the quiches on the menu we were told were available were then off the menu after we had ordered. This was disappointing as the ones we had were fantastic. Tuna, venison, chicken all super yummy. A little pricey for the type of venue but a real treat.

Truc Vert is a nice venue, with a relaxed ambience in the evening. Food is good but a bit pricey. If it was better value I would be a regular!

We went for a business lunch in Truc Vert. I had the Sea Bass with mediterranean vegetables. The Sea Bass was very good although I think the chargrilled vegetables were slightly over done. The atmosphere is bustling but intimate. Others in the group had the duck, tuna and beef. All reported that they were very good. Overall I would say good food and very good value for money.

As usual Truc Vert holds it's place as "the best place to take clients for an informal lunch" restaurant. However, on this occasion the staff were slow and inattentive compared to usual. Could be it was because it was a Friday lunchtime, so I will give them some benefit of the doubt. And please get those loos refurbished!! Otherwise the kitchen turned out superb food as usual.

As usual, Teruc Vert was to be lelied on for an informal business lunch. The starter I had of squid and chorizo with butter beans was perfectly cooked and almost big enough to eat on it's own. Great service with a smile too! However -ladies loo needs some upgrading as it is starting to look a little ropey, and our espresso's were slightly bitter. However these detract little from a consistently good dining establishment with interesting rustic dishes.

Truc Vert has an easy atmosphere with a lovely fresh seasonally evolving menu. Very good.

Le Truc Vert serves generous portions of delicious food in a relaxed setting. The prix fixe menu (6-7:30) provides good value in a neighbourhood where meals are often overpriced. The only slight drawback was slow service (20 minutes for intitial drink order to be taken), which was not evident later in the evening.

I love this place!

service a bit slow but that was because we ordered the lamb apparently, though it would have been nice to be told this when we ordered. Also, it is freezing in there on a cold day - close the door!! Other than that, lovely food and a friendly relaxed place.

Truc Vert has a lovely French cosy ambiance. It is my third time there and the food is still mediocre but beautifully presented. The decor is lovely. I recommend it for a casual coffee & cake or lunch.
