Description of Upper Glas
Upper Glas, a deliciously quirky Swedish restaurant in Islington's Upper Street, is the brainchild of Anna Mosesson - a Swedish cook, food writer and broadcaster. The delightful first-floor dining room has parquet floors, bright floral fabrics and views over Upper Street. Mosesson believes that the Swedish diet holds the key to happiness and longevity, and with signature dishes including crayfish tails served with Västerbotten cheese, beef Rydberg glazed with caramalised onion and mustard, and authentic Swedish meatballs with mash, fresh ligonberries and pickled cucumber - we're inclined to agree. Every Tuesday night the restaurant hosts live entertainment, with everything from opera and jazz to burlesque on the schedule.
