Description of Vasco and Piero's Pavillion
For thirty years, Vasco and Piero's Pavillion has been blending the best of traditional and modern Italian cooking and service into a seamless whole, creating a restaurant that many loyal diners consider their own very special place. It's sometimes tricky even to get through the door at lunchtime, but evenings are more relaxed and romantic. (NB for New Labourites: Gordon Brown held his engagement party here.) Try carpaccio of fresh tuna and avocado to start, and roast filet of pork with cherry tomatoes and fresh herbs. All pastas are homemade. The welcome is warm, and you may find yourself becoming a regular here, too.

Food at Vasco and Piero's seems to get better and better - and it offers consistently better value than big name restaurants.

Vasco and Piero's Pavillion provided an excellent starting place for our evening with 5 of us meeting, all travelling from different places for an early evening supper before the theatre. The service was swift so we had no time pressure and the atmosphere relaxed while the food was excellent reaching the exacting standards of those present. Lovely wine too.

Vasco & Piero's Pavilion was a genuine italian experience! everyone's Italian, at pre-theater time not many people but regulars greeted by name. The home made tagliatelle and ravioli were as light as can be w/delicious truffle, duck and meat sauces! the cod was crisp and tasty with the lentils, the orzo soup was just what mamma ordered! Unique panettone and choc pudding desserts were unusual but yummy! definitely will return!! Near Liberty store

Clearly a celebrity restaurant (we saw ex-Monty Python Terry Jones), the service was good but the food lacked imagination.

Vasco and Piero's Pavilion has been providing impeccable Italian cooking for almost as long as I can remember. We went there last Thursday for an early evening diner and once again I was reminded how good the food is there. To keep up such a consistently high standard over the years takes talent and a lot of dedication. This definitely is a restaurant to be recommended to anyone looking for good Italian food lovingly prepared.
