veeraswamy did not live upto the other reviews. The staff were not knoweledgeable and the food was not as great as we expected for the price.

Veeraswamy was a real treat for lunch on sunday 7 Dec-08. Sometimes the oldies really are the goodies! Well worth a visit, cool cocktails and tasty food. The staff were friendly and helpful. We shall return .........

Veeraswamy - excellent, we were late to our booking due to things out of our control but they held the table and it was worth it.
Service, food everything summed up a beautiful evening. The only critisicm is the sagg aloo, it was too plain.

Fantastic food & service at Veerashwamy had taster menu staff happy to exchange a dish to suit us. Low score for value mainly due to drinks prices, also no real sense of tradition in the restaurant not sure why does not play on this, would only visit again with an offer

Visited the Veeraswarmy for my birthday treat. Excellent venue, had a lovely table overlooking the Christmas lights in Regents Street. The staff were efficient and friendly. The food was good but well overpriced. Would recommend for a special occasion, but you can get a better meal for half the price at your local curry house.

Veeraswarmy continues to offer great Indian food at a convenient location in the west end.

Four of us went to Veeraswamy for a birthday Sunday lunch. As usual the food was excellent and the service was friendly and polite, attentive but discreet. Sunday lunch is excellent value at £22 a head for three courses. Total bill for 4: £165 for food, bottle of wine, 4 cocktails, coffee and service.

The starters were of good quality, wine list and cocktails great and the desserts were not too bad but the main courses were watery and sloppy and didn't really create the impression I was expecting. If they perfected the main courses then it would get top marks because every else is faultless you can not be impressed by the central location and decor

This is the Creme de la creme of Indian restaurants, I didnt realise Indian could be that good. We went for our team Xmas Lunch and everyone absolutely enjoyed their lunch. If only I could afford to go there more regularly, but well worth the visit.
