Description of Viktor
Fresh from the success of the original Viktor in St Petersburg, Lubov Shurmer and her daughter have brought to Knightsbridge an exotic, modern Japanese restaurant. Upstairs holds its head high with refinement and attention to detail. The swanky, newly-refurbished restaurant and bar done in rich woods and luscious reds offers flashes of vivacity in an otherwise grown-up atmosphere are well suited to the local smart set (which includes Japanese regulars, a seal of approval if ever there was one). The menu is lead by the expertise of Chef Uji, who has wowed with his culinary masterstrokes in New York, Dubai and Tokyo, and features an eclectic selection of old favourites and modern surprises, peppered with luxurious twists. Start off with a sushi trio new style which includes eel with foie gras, and on to an amazing array of top-drawer sushi and sashimi. A lovely confit of duck leg served with poached pear in sake and orange sauce tops the list of our favourite mains. The only tsarist touches come with the caviar generously dolloped on top of some beautiful sushi. Delicate desserts will soothe your extended belly. Pop down to the seductively candlelit and newly revamped Vbar for a wide selection of creative cocktails and a great wine list.

We had a really fun night at Viktor. The food was incredible, although would have been pricey without the toptable offer. The atmosphere was a bit quiet, but then we were there on a Tuesday night. I'd definitely recommend this to people if they are looking for a central Japanese restaurant.

Pleasantly surprised with both quality and variety of food! Expensive without the toptable deal but with it.....great price for quality. would definitely return again...

It is a great shame some of the waiting staff are not trained properly at Viktor restaurant as they couldn't explain the menu to us. Equally being offered dessert and coffee after starter was probably an oversight, but again poor. The food was generally well coooked and packed with flavours. The spicy tuna roll was quite wonderful. The 50% off made the evening very reasonable. We would go there again, but only if we are in the area.

I found Viktor a really nice restaurant with good decor. The food was gorgeous although fairly expensive without the 50% offer. The service was the only thing to let it down as it was a bit slow

Viktor was excellent. the atmosphere, service and food were up to the picky expectations of 7 sushis true fans. The quality and taste of the dishes were exquisite and varied. The 50% offer was great value for money as we ended up paying the same that we do in poor quality sushi chains.

The combination of modern Japanese cuisine and slick and curteous Frenchy service makes this a great 'alternative' Japanese place. Sashimi was very fresh; tempura did not quite come out as light and crispy as it should but was tasty nevertheless. Lamb chops and gindara was great, the glass noodles that goes with the salmon a little too sweet and one dimensional. Very good service and the offer well worth the value.

The Japanese restaurant Viktor had a interesting assortment of dishes to try from. Would highly recommend this restaurant just for the experience alone. Good ambience and friendly staff.

Good food (although not sure how you can ruin Sashimi as long as you have decent cuts of fish).

Good selection of sake.

Friendly service.

Overall a lovely experience i would definitely want to repeat.

We really enjoyed our evening at Viktor. The food was delicious and the ambience is just right either for an evening with friends or a romantic dinner. The service was impeccable.

Took my girlfriend to Viktor for her birthday and would recommend it to anyone who likes Japanese Food. The food was great and the selection of cocktails even better.

Viktor has a very unique setting for a Japanese restaurant but it is just a different experience. We were greeted and seated quickly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. As to the food, I was not disappointed. The sushi was fresh and up to the standard. With the 50% offer from toptable, it represent excellent value for money. I would recemmend the place.

Sushi in Knightsbrige raises your expecations but this place disappointed. Food was OK, service not much better. Luckily, we had 50% off so made it worthwhile.

As always the food was great at Viktors - still one of our favourites..

We went to Viktor on a Friday night on the TT offer. The starters were lovely. One of the mains was not quite as expected. Service was quick and friendly but the place was rather quiet. Surprising for a Friday night but overall experience was not bad.

VIktor with TT offer is affordable. Pleasant food and good service. Will return again.

As part of the retail triangle at Scotch Corner, Viktor easily could become a desitnation on its' own and brings a new level to finely prepared Japanese food.
