Vito's Reviews

I really liked Vito's - it had a very authentic feel to it, but i have reluctantly marked it lower due to the fact that we waited for an hour and a half for our main course. Two tables walked out while we were there. The staff were very friendly but they were struggling to cope with a large booking they had in. the food was nice though.

Veal escolope good portions. zuchini a little over cooked but spinachi excellent.

My meal at Vito's started out with a drink at the cute little bar attached to the restaurant. The service in the restaurant is informal and friendly and the menu is good. The seafood pasta is great, but my meat dish was not that tasty.

I chose Vito's based on your reviews, and if food were all, you'd each get 10 out of 10. The carpaccio was perfect, as were salads, fegato, and a special much like the classiest bolognese ever - no credit crunch mince! But, it's at the far end of Northcote Road:quite a schlepp from Clapham Junction; it's not a small place, but was empty [Friday lunchtime.] Some nice jazz would have livened it up a bit. The service was very pleasant, the decor is fresh and full of light.Vito's needs fun - so go!

Great scram yet again. Only issue with the over cooked steakss which were duly replaced with perfectly cooked and somewhat bigger lumps of cow.

Vito's is a reliable choice for a delicious Italian meal served by friendly staff. Portions are generous, and the quality of the cooking is great.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout. We had a table near the door so it was cold and very quiet in there for a saturday. Not the lively atmosphere I was expecting. Our starters took about 45 minutes to arrive sadly. We ordered olives that never arrived. My lobster pasta had chewy overcooked lobster, but the pasta was tasty. My husband's scallops were tasty but not trimmed, and one of the rare steaks was overcooked. It was generally average food. I would go back despite all that.

Although the service was courteous when it arrived, we had to wait a long time whenever we tried to attract attention. We were left seated for 15 minutes before a wine list arrived, and then similar intervals before any staff were in the vicitnity of our table. That said, the food was very good, but was slightly overpriced.

An even larger range of pasta dishes. The best carbonara we have ever tasted, and a lovely tagliatelli and chicken dish. Very busy with a great atmosphere. Definitely one to visit often! Reasonable prices.

Vito's is a nice local restaurant with good service, good house wine, huge starters (all of them), and a good selection of dishes. There could have been more veggie pizzas but they were happy to make requests. Pizza was a bit thick and doughy, but pasta meals very good.

Vito's Restaurant on Northcote Road is simply great. The pizza's are gorgeous and we visit weekly for these, but do try and vary things by having different toppings.
There own version of spaghetti bolognase is so tasty, made with chunks of beef instead of mince and a bit of chilli in the sauce. Yum.
I would highly recommend this place. Its good value for money and the staff are always very nice and efficient.
We always go back!!!

We had heard mixed reviews about Vitos. When we arrived at 8, it was not busy, but by 9pm alot more people had come in. Everyone really enjoyed their food. Very fresh, tasty Italian and the service was great. I am definitely coming back.

Had another splendid meal with some old school chums. Restaurant quite busy and we were the last to leave. Mussels were excellent and steak cooked to perfection.
