Description of kiwi kitchen
Kia Ora, the kiwi kitchen, a restaurant that's more kiwi than an all black waving a silver fern on Waitangi day! Set up by New Zealander Matthew Jans and his partner Julia (BBC News 24 business presenter), the kiwi kitchen offers a true taste of God's own Country. House specialities include NZ whitebait fritters, paua fritters, hangi smoked lamb, NZ green lip mussels, kumara chips, lamb burgers with beetroot and pineapple, venison and lamb shanks - but it's best to save a little room for dessert - hokey pokey ice cream with chocolate fish, perky nana ice cream, pavlova, white chocolate mousse with fresh feijoa. The kiwi kitchen is the only NZ restaurant in the UK - though we certainly hope it's not the last.

Visited Kiwi Kitchen on a Friday night and it was very quiet - seriously lacked any kind of ambience! Food was average, and very expensive for what it was. For a restaurant that we were all looking forward to trying, we all left feeling very disappointed.

Great food would highly reccomend to any proud Kiwi wanting to show off all that is great about our flavours and produce. Made me a little homesick.

This is the second time we have been to the Kiwi Kitchen and the food was just as fantastic as the first time - which is really the most important thing I think! Definately will be going back again.

We celebrated our friend's birthday at the Kiwi Kitchen in Fulham last night, we had a brilliant time, gorgeous food and outstanding service!

I want to go back! The food was amazing - the mussels and scallops for starters I highly recommend and of course you can not get better lamb than New Zealand lamb...no i'm not from NZ. Value for money was so good as well - any where else you would have been paying about £25 each for mains. Really friendly service with a smile too and great selection of wines and beers.

I organised a surprise birthday party for my fiance at the Kiwi Kitchen last night. They were so accommodating of our party of 20 and helped to ensure the evening ran smoothly. Great food and great fun. We will definately be going back.

We had a fantastic meal at Kiwi Kitchen. The staff were so helpful and the food could not have been better, it took me right back to New Zealand. I am definately going to make this a must place to eat whenever I am in London.

Kiwi kitchen is an original place with excellent food - both very tasty and well presented. The staff were very down to earth friendly but also very attentive. I will definitely be going back. Great value too. Only downers were the small list of wines and toilets that need some attention.

The food at Kiwi Kitchen was absolutely superb with some real unique flavours and dishes, I would highly recomment for anyone to pay this restaurant a visit. The wine list was fantastic and would definitely return. ON the downside, our waitress was not overly helpful or friendly and a couple of the main course dishes weren't available. Apart from this would definitely go back and try some more of this tasty food.

Loved all the kiwi favourites done in different and interesting ways at Kiwi Kitchen - Fulham. However, my 'hangi-ed' pork was over-cooked & chewy so not as I would expect tender hangi-ed meat to be, unfortunately. Starters, the other mains and desserts we had were great though. Staff were pleasant & helpful. There was a large group and our table of 4 all evening, so wasn't busy ... not sure if this is how it is at all times. Would def go back.
